Ok.

My current obsession is contact juggling. and when i first started (after seeing mr spin at a local festival) i shelled out $35Aud for a nice shiny new 70mm acryllic which is roughly the same amount as what nearly four of my regular juggling balls cost.

Since then i have bought another ball the same and i have a third one in the mail. so far i have spent $105 dollars on acryllics. but i still need one more ball just to make a four ball stack or to do toss and contact routines. so just for four acryllics i will have spent $140

but it doesnt stop there. i also want to buy some UV balls. these cost $70 a ball! i figure i will only want two for the moment. and i will need a Black light as well.

Lets tally it up. Four regular acryllics. two UV's. a black light.
Thats $296 dollars.

Lets not forget that over time as a contacter i will need to replace balls that have been too damaged to perform with and also i might want to buy coloured balls sometime.

i am probably looking to spend upwards of $500 Australian on Contact balls alone.

lol - the way I see it, is that i dont spend money on things like TVs, fast cars and DVDs and other stuff - I spend it on juggling equip. as long as you buy things you will actually use (my 6 albys will come in handy one day I'm sure smile) its all good.

I didnt know mr spin even did contact *shrugz*

im with Pyrolific - if your gunna use it and you think you can justify the cost for the amount of use it'll get its worth it

if on the ther hand your buying it because you think its pretty etc be careful - i had to stop myself wasting £10 buying a load of mathmos light ball things to use for glow poi when id just bought a nice pair of (reinforced) streetlights for the same pupose.

Well if you enjoy them why not spend money on them? At the end of the day it's gonna be spent anyway. It's money, that's what it's for.

Damn the addictiveness of forums! (Or should it be addictivity?)
