Okay, here we go

One: I want to do something for my parents, they're under a lot of stress for various reasons and I just want to show them how much I love and admire them. I don't have a lot of money. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do? I was thinking of taking them out to dinner but I'm not sure how they'd react. Dad would probably insist on paying and we'd have on of those arguments about who's paying over the table at the resturaunt. If anyone has any little not so expensive ideas...I would be very grateful.

Two: Has anyone watched Neighbours recently? Has Stewart got his eyesight back yet? I've missed it the last couple of days.

Three: Britney Spears is pregnant.

ok 3 things
- britney spears is the (admitedly sexy) spawn of evil. and her child will bring death and destruction to this planet.
- stop watching soaps and live ur own life.
- if ur rents are the outdoors type, organize a picknick somewhere in the greenery. give them a chance to chill out from the stress they have. organize that the things that they have to do that afternoon/ day are taken care off.

just an idea....

Set up your parents a treasure hunt... Each clue leads them to a place or an object that brings back happy memories and the last clue can lead them back to your home where you will have a candle lit dinner waiting for them. The only cost is your time working out the clues and the price of making them a meal, but I bet it will be a day they remember for a long time.

yeah was gonna say that too. cooking a meals always a good one. get them to go out or summut for a while. set up the dinner table etc really nicely with a bottle of wine, and cook a 3 course or something. i personaly think thats better than going for a meal because its more personal, everyone likes to come home and find youve done something specifically for them.
also maybe rent a good film for after they might like.... im sure theyd feel relaxed and enjoy just you all sitting together for a film.....
anyways hope this helps lol hug

1)Make something for them: dinner, a card or picture or all of the above!. If you have any particular talents you can use, use them. Parents tend to love anything their children make!
2)no idea
3) britney with a mini-me! we're all gonna die from exposure to bad sounds (and the devil, Konst winki)!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you know that if you listen to all her albums played backwards, it can drive you insane?

your parents own their house/flat?

if so, give them a certificate for free housework to be done by you - maintanance, cleaning windows, whatever. having someone else take care of little things like that can really help in stressful times.

lol - I gave my dad a 10 car wash voucher and my step mum a 10 baskets of ironing voucher for christmas about 9 years ago. Needless to say, the vouchers were never 'cashed' in, and my Dad still drags em out on occassion to get a rise out of me!

Stewart can see. Boyd has schitzophrenia real bad and, whilst thinking he was talking to Serena, told Sky that he and Serena got it on a couple of times. Sky went off at Serena then kissed Stingray's older brother. Stingray's sister (the bogan's are in town!) slapped Serena for cheating on her brother.

Susan is dating the old dude that paid whatsherflop (Stewart's g/f) to dance for him...

Izzy and Carl and getting too friendly again.

Anything else?

biggrin

Hahahah! I'm glad he got his eyseight back. And yes I saw the slapping episode and the episode when the girls arrived. They spoil the whole damn show! I think we found out about his eyesight on Monday? And Monday was the night I missed! Thanks for the catch up!

Thanks a lot for all the ideas. I think I'll cook a 3 course meal for them instead of taking them out for tea. smile

Now to look up recipes.

Thanks for your help everyone smile
