i heard a rumor from a VERY reliable source that 5 or so of the major U.S. fire tool makers are selling out to walmart.
which means that walmart will be selling fire tools in the near future.
how weird is that?
Once in a while you get shown the light
in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

It's a hoax.
It's been proven it's a hoax, with evidence and everything.
No need to play innocent and keep it going because the hype is over before it even got started, or even turned April 1st in the US for that matter.
Move on to something else that might be more productive.

NYC, you and I both know, without digging it is a hoax. But you also know the evidence that it is a hoax has to be posted. Think about the sheer amount of people who are on here now who were not around last year...that alone needs to be headed off.

I have a hard enough time trying to find quality glowsticks that are'nt expired at wal'mart. I seriously doubt that there would be enough sales to spread the word about the new product if the rumor is true. They would sit on a rack somewhere near sporting goods colecting dust untill a new season rolled around.

Actually, that Bearclaw link was one of the original ones that Grasshoppah tried to pass off as "authentic" and is the one that triggered the internet slam tourney.
I spoke with some friends in Seattle about this, and only one found it amusing.

When you have to deal with the hysteria and are not in on the joke, then that might be a viable statement. You have no clue how many emails I got about this asking if it was true and of people freaking out. That is not funny. In fact, it is down right inconciderate of people who are supposed to be not only your clients but peers as well.
Otherwise, when jokes are funny, we all do have a good time with it on this board. Look at many of the other threads here in chat for evidence of that.
