Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too. Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

Oh no! Well, I guess this applies to you too, but we should be thankful we're getting sick BEFORE our holidays!
Silver lining and all that jazz. I go on holiday for a week in just over two weeks so I'd rather get sick now and be happy and healthy for then...especially as it's an adventure holiday!!! Hope you feel better soon

yay car broke again
although on a good note nothing too serious getting it back tomorrow hope you guys feel better soon me and marie have been poorly too
advance query our main caberet act has to have spinal surgery 3 days before our festival now so we need to replace. any suggestions?

You and your bloody cars breaking. Saying that Ben called me on saturday as his car over-heated and stopped on his way to come see me, but the RAC man just said to keep filling it up with water...however we go on holiday in two weeks, if the car, for any reason stops working...I officially give up

My holiday is over and i'm back at work
*grumble grumble grumble*On the plus side it was very very good and I had lots of fun
This weekend there are 20 of us getting dressed up and going out for dinner, and then to the royal albert hall to see the philharmonic orchestra play movie theme tunes, followed by a gig on the saturday. The weekend after that is firegathering
and the weekend after that is a double birthday.Lots of fun stuff to come ... YAY!

yay for firegathering, that starts my weekend less summer of festivals I have taken every friday off in may and most in june, july and August too finally feels like summer again.I'm bored entertain me lois!

I wish I could Mynci boy, but unfortunately I have S**t loads of work to do as my boss is off this week, so I'm just managing at the moment...but I will ofcoarse be taking little HOP breaks throughout the week
Speaking of firegathering, are you guys camping in a special area or are you mingleing with us peasants? If so, lets camp near each other! I'm getting the 18:00 bus from Brighton on the Friday, do you know around what time you'll be getting there?

I have now taken the friday off
so I don't have a full 5 day week for over a month I think simon was planning to get to mine around 1ish then go on from there (about 1 hr away) do you want me to try and secure you a tent space? I can take our spare tent and put it up where we want you, then take it down again when you arrive

we're doing a run through of our show tonight full dress rehersal next wednesday ready for our show at firegathering. I'm a little worried as I'm in about 4 of the acts

Hmmm, the securing of a spot would be bril, though I have a couple of friends from Brighton coming down too (not sure on their camping plans, but thats another tent) and mr Pineapple Pete will be joining us too ( he was looking for a spare tent but I think he has found one), so I would say just choose a camping spot that will have a fair amount of extra space around it! But yes, I defenitly want to camp with you guys Wish I could get friday off, was going to try and manage to get the 14:00 bus but the earliest I can get off work is 15:00.I have to save all remaining holiday days for when my mom finally comes to visit this year
so I'm not complaining too much!I can't wait for your show!
I promise not to heckle any of the other guys, just you if that helps 
yes, Ben is coming too
so you will get to meet the love of my life! I had to tempt him there with the music though (theres a couple of acts he likes), he's not really into spinning I cant wait! Got my tix through the post today

ran through the show yesterday the opening act is quite funny with some old skool (note the K) music mixed in
using our glow suits as clowns our finale still needs some work though
and practicing yesterday (with poi) I successfully managed to remove both testicles 2 moves in, so I was on the floor the next 5 minutes not a happy timespeakiing of tickets if you know anyone who wants a free ticket? Firetoys texted simon last night asking if we knew anyone willing to do the helpers cooking. They better be good because I'll be poor and taking no food

Mmmm, nope, don't know anyone who could help I'm afraid, not even for a free ticket.
I'm not taking any food either, I'll have a big dinner before leaving on the friday and I'm hoping I just wont get hungry for the next two days...I have a feeling that wont be a problem
and Sunday night back in time for some food before bed Cant wait for your show. Be careful with poi Mynci, my uncle had to sit on a rubber ring for 6 months after a poi to the nut incident, how girly are they now though huh?
