So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

In other news, I've left a job which was causing me some grief, and the idea is to get a better paying one soon as I return. Luck pixies needed, but I think they've got time to breed here while Pip and I are in Singapore. Hopefully it's coming back to some good news smile How's you miss? Long time no see indeed! hug

Ha ha, hi Bek.. I just got around to posting in your thread. Same for you Pat - hi hi! Yep we're back and we had an awesome time. Photos to come! There's 1.2 billion of them!

See you tomorrow, Pete! woooot! .. and miss kitten, just ducking over to your thread now..

So hey, mister kiss maybe we ought to be advertising the exodus to cedar creek this weekend hey? ... Just a rumor everyone, but this weekend we might plan a trip up to Cedar Creek, Samford Valley. Its a beautiful lush creek area with swinging vines, lovely scenery and waterfalls. Really nice and fun place to go hiking. Keep your ears pricked for the word, if you're interesting in coming to play in the forest.

So anyhoo.. I better get going from work if I want to make it to your yummy lamb curry ubblove *spoilt*

Eek. So back but not HoP-back, apparently. Argh I've been so slack! So yes, back from Singapore now, getting back into the Brisbane swing of things. Have had Dale (steaks) over, then Petey.. now my cousin Anne's here.. people people people.. ubbloco

Just arrived back from Matt and Jen's- wonderful dinner courtesy of Matt; I knew vegetarian food could be pretty good but wow. Dinner inspired by Kurma Dasa's recipes; Kofta Balls in tomato sauce are fantastic.. and so is South Indian Carrot Salad. ubblove Now hunting asafetida powder for my spice cabinet devil biggrin

So updates updates.. let's see. Looking for a job again.. what fun. Ridiculously long job applications and slightly longer than bearable waiting periods. Crossing fingers things go well. Managed to pick up in Singapore, amongst other things, a little metal (bronze?) statue of a monkey sitting on a horse's back:

Non-Https Image Link

which is supposed to be good luck in your career.. will keep all posted if it works ubblol..

Also looking for a nice new housemate.. ahh the stress. It's a bit like when it rains, it pours. But things always seem to have a strange way of working out hey? ubbangel

Cedar Creek appears to be getting a good work out lately with Brisbane guests unwittingly being kidnapped and made to rough it out. A snake infested hike to a humble waterfall with unusually large spiders.. ubblol Or so it seems. No, but really, a good swimming hole, and a very scenic trek through patient boulders and lush foliage.. oh and Tarzan vinesubblol I want to go back there soon! Who's along for the company? cool

Anyway. So so so many pictures to work on.. up in the thousands. The Singapore trip's produced a few, so have random parties and daytrips.. stress. Must.. document.. world.. *soldier on*

But yes.. just hoping everyone's fine. 2007! A new year.. new year's resolution? I guess the same as last year's. Be a good person with a good attitude. rolleyes So. mm. Ahhhh I'm covered in beees! I'm covered in beees. ubblol ubbrollsmile wink

Andrea: Thanks miss! The trip was wonderful, though there was a bit of a patch towards the end where Pip and I started to feel a bit under the weather.. and under the weather too. I think it was a bodily reaction of sorts to the anticipation of coming back to slightly less wonderful food..

How did you spend year-end/ New Year's? hug

Bek: mm! And he picked up the whip stuff pretty quick too. Didn't see him at the last juggle though. He's not over in NC with you is he? ubblol Thanks for the hugs and hugs back! Also, we seem to have excess sunny would you like some sunny too?

Lou: Hey kitten! hug Managed to get Lapis, and it was pretty good. I can't believe they're so unbeelievably hard to make. Unbeelievable. Also managed to have some Ondeh Ondeh at the same place I had the Kueh Lapis. Had that? It's pretty good.. think you'll like it. And hey! would you believe, Singapore now has random kaya toast cafes in the city?? It's great!

Thanks for 6000 btw! biggrin ubbrollsmile My count's taken a bit of a beating lately. I think it's something to do with not being terribly grounded at the moment with so much happening. Kind of floating away into the sun.. ubblol Haven't popped yet though.. wink

Pat: Thanks dude! Was fantastic, as Pip or I may have already mentioned. Have so many photos but all of them are sitting in the waiting room at the moment. Planning on getting a website operational, so that there's somewhere I can show them all, but yeah, tis a bit tricky. Got the domain name/hosting etc.. now need to work out design and stuff.. How are you? beerchug hug

Tina: Heya! Happy belated New Year to you too! as for a healthy one... ubbangel Mayybe? Singapore was just eat sleep eat sleep eat sleep.. A bit of walking and a bit of sweating, but food was soo good and soo cheap.. you just had to ubblol Tummy's not feeling as flat as before, I think another resolution for 2007 is to get out there a bit more doing stuff too. *sweats a drop typing this post..*

How are you? Too much sunny at the moment, got any icier stock? hug

Pip: Heya darling girl! Some holiday huh ubbangel Still haven't posted that potential run-in with customs heehe. I suppose the question is, do people want to know. keke hug Can't believe we only got back about 20 days ago.. feels like there's been so much since then..

All good though. hug Hope youre home sleeping well.. half two now.. I really ought to be zZz.. wonder what time wake up is tomorrow..

I've also finished assembling and formatting the drive, ready for collection, 1 x P:> Volume Label: Pip. After formatting, you've got about 298Gb. mm storage. ubbrollsmile

Also, was wondering whether you were still vaguely interested in camping by the sea this weekend.. bounce bounce2 was thinking I should get back to Bianca.. I probably also have to find out the cost hey. Will drop her an email tomorrow (today).

Petey: Hey sir.. was great having you here. Sorry to hear about grr in Sydney. Alan's Music. Boycott!! grr! And down with antisocial randoms.

You're still in Sydney I assume- found any creeky waterfalls? rolleyes Travel safe and catch up soon! hug And don't get into trouble! *grumble*

Dale: Hey matey, how's working The Coro going? Didn't catch you at juggle, so assume you must be working lots. What's the rest of the Brisbane plan? Anything new? Take it easy.. catchya! beerchug

He's just been working really hard on 'stupid, dumb work'...(as he so affectionately calls it)...but I'm sure he's looking forward to getting back to the whip cracking and just the general fun times to be had...I know he told me that it was really fun and that you were the one that showed him!

I'm planning on trying my hand at making some whips as soon as I can get by the leather shop...just haven't had a chance to get to that part of the city yet...life intrudes!!!

Give Pip lots of hugs for me...and here's one for you, too!!! hug

Oooooh....extra sunny...can always use some of that!!!

Ahhh.. yeah the customs thing thing rolleyes

Mmm we have been pretty busy since we got back. I'm really looking forward to when things finally die down.

Camping... yeah I ment to bring it up with you again. I'm really looking forward to some time-out but not looking forward to the drive to NSW. I'm considering taking tomorrow off work seeing as I haven't any projects on, and using it for homebody purposes. I guess we need to find out some more details like money, particularly seeing as I didn't put any money aside for it this week. Let me know when Bianca gets back to you.

Thanks heaps for fixing up my external drive! biggrin I can't wait to start organising it.

Good luck with the job hunting today. hug
