So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi
Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.
If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now.

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you..
Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.
University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever
. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.
Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit
.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.
Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends.. a best friend 
, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.
I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.
Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.
Enough for now, don't be strangers!

I figure if I talk like one, they might let me join their club Not a 'club' club, as in, not the sort which can also be spun like poi. Some club spinners don't spin clubs, but join clubs.. Not like joining a club the first way I meant it, but like Lego can be joined. They also join clubs sporadically, but they don't tend to be very forward about it. Some people don't think it sounds really cool to say 'I'm a proud member of the club twirling club'. Like, in contrast to 'You can twirl your clubs in my club. If you like. Matey. How long have you had those shoes?'

What sort of store was it? Toys? You know how I love to keep up with sock technology If they're not in Adelaide, there's a chance they might have come round these parts, so I suppose that's a good thing.. On the downside, Lou Poi Industries must have taken a bit of a blow. Luckily they're diversifying into flags too..

Oz (Brisbane) isn't looking particularly sunny at the moment.. it's 9.43am, overcast and about 23 degrees c.. In other words, it's quite wonderful sleeping weather! Still wondering if I should go back to bed or be productive since I'm already up early. The arguments against, possibly include the fact I've only had about 3 hours and 45 minutes sleep. *ponder*

I just had a nice thick hot milo.. 4 heaped tablespoons and a spoon of sweetened condensed milk. And water of course. Could do with another mug, but there's probably something not good about taking in so much of something so yummy. I might do it anyway

hahaha...yeah yesterday I had a whole punnet (bar 1 ...which becca ate ) of stawberries with yogurt for breckie yesterday ...and even though it was all totally healthy and good I still felt like I was having desert for breckfast!
and yeah pre-moonfest at the pixie palace should be fine ....though I was thinking of making chockie birthday cakes for all the birthday people... but I'm sure I can work it to do both

We can't get it in this country y'know.... One of te pooka mentioned they have it in Edinburgh. But that's at the whole other end of the country (and up into the next country quite a lot too) and i haven't had my anti-scots jabs yet, so i don't fancy my chances of going up there.
Luckily I have 2 milo bars stashed upstairs for emergencies. Just wish I had some milo drink..... that's the stuff i really miss.
Kept me alive in SE asia...
ps: I also miss Moon Pixie and Becca heaps and heaps. I'm hoping they start selling them in the shops over here. I will definitely buy some if they do.....

nahhhh we're one of a kind mate! ... though their was crazy ramblings one time of putting elke dolls on the market! hahahha ...(just someone having a go at me for being able to put on all different faces for different situations...like
....the hippy elke doll (with the dreads and funky clothes and stuff...hehehe) .... then corperate pixie doll (where I dress up and put make up on and silly stuff for gigs and stuff
)...there was like sloth pixie doll...hehehe... with fuzzy clothes and crochet kneedle and tea time pixie with a kettle and chai tea ....and then you could get all these accesories like the pixiemobile (somewhat like a barbie car I supose... but *way* better ) ....um I'll shut up now

yay moonfest!!! i can't wait!! i'm going to head to the coast on friday night so i can crash at my parents, then i only have to drive an hour to get to moonfest early...oh wait! permafest! umm...yeah what the hey!? that's only 15 minutes from their place, so i'll go there, then to moonfest mid arvy!!

Mmm think it may be about 20 at the moment.. But that's pretty good. Toes are a bit chilly, but the rest of me is good thanks to milo and raisin toast. Which reminds me. I've only got enough powder for one more cup!
