So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Yup! Kitten's coming up again day after tomorrow! ubbrollsmile Can't wait! Work days usually go pretty quickly, but the day after's going to seem to last forever ubblol..

Kels: Heya missy! hug hug2 All is well and positively positive. Got everything I need except for time to enjoy the positivity ubblol Also found out that should the chance arise, I will be allowed to leave Australia and go on holiday without it affecting a citizenship application. I previously thought I had to be in Australia for a continuous two year period (they're planning to make it three frown), but I've just found out it can be two (three) years, non-continuous.. as long as it was within the last five years.

If that makes any sense at all.. ubblol

Glad you're sounding so hapy and that everything is now sorted residency wise, i know its been a bit of a battle getting there! hug

Cornwalls really muggy past couple of days.....got thunderstorms coming next couple of days and then apparently a massive heat waves gonna hit us, old people and babies are apparently being advised to stay indoors....

...its bound to hit a least the mid thirties! ubblol

Post festival wind down is horrible! frown I find it soooooooo inpossible to deal with normal life in the summer....ah well! Big green in a few weeks and then Falmouth a couple more weeks after that, plus a few little local festys to keep me going in the mean time!!

What's Sep 14th to 17th? Probably won't be able to make it then though. Apart from possibly testing my employer to get leave during a busy period as to get leave for Common Ground, to get to the UK would probably mean using my mum's airmiles- in exchange I'd be expected to spend some time at my folk's place in Devon.. instead of going around to see the people I want to see more! shrug

Cornwall mid thirties??! eek Surely not.. Heatwave eh.. what's the occasion?

Hey at least you've been to a couple of good festivals recently.. last thing I've been to was just a doof in Northen NSW. Looking forward to going to another one soon, but don't know if there'll be any decent ones soon (and not too far away).

Any happysnaps of you and Clarence at all these wonderful sounding festivals cool?

mmmmmm.. couple of things we missed the first time round, but so far it's not been planned. Going to take this trip on a day by day basis. Between wombats in Perth and loonies in Melbourne (ubbangel), I hope Brissie doesn't come out too boring ubblol.. Will post the kitten registered post biggrin.

Pete: What! Haven't seen the steak and already you're pulling out? chuh.. A boy who can't finish a steak indeed! tongue Thought you said you could eat heaps? confused (unless I made that up in my head ubblol) In any case. Still looking forward to a steak.. so when already? hug

Kels: Wot! No camera?? What kind is it and how did it die? Obscenely lazy eh.. nobody told be naarthing! Hmm. What's bigger and better next year?

Best excuse re Clarence.. you got out of that one wink hug

Vix: Ahh.. spending other people's money! I'd love to! Well what type of camera are you after? If it's just a point and shoot compact, my number one recommendation is Canon's IXUS800IS (Powershot SD700IS).

https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_sd700is.asp?dontcount=1

Top of the line Canon ultra compact point and shoot offering with image stabilisation.

Or were you after something chunkier? Or mid range?

just feeling lonely this morning and thought I would drop by and ask for a hug...

missing my cats, missing my deer even, thats how bad it is, missing my garden, and even missing my computer! Sigh. Must be a bit played out.

Heading to the oceanside, an island of some sort, smaller than the gerneral whole island of ireland, aran islands I think. That should do the trick. maybe there are cats there? I could use a snuggle.

will write something of interest soon, I promise. How soon, now that, I dont promise. I like you to wait in eager anticipation, with baited breath.
And yes, you can have a signed copy, if of course, you answer the skill testing question properly... or amusingly, as the case may be
