So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Pete: Very funny dude.. now beam up my clothes too.. please? ubblol

Correct btw. though could do with an extra spoon of honey methinks wink Though perhaps you should confer with the honey crackle fairy first. And if you make extra of the mixture, you can refrigerate it again and it becomes good toast spread.

Kels: Was pretty good.. though poi and carnies were not even in my consciousness then. I'd like to mix and patch past and future, but mm.. havent figured out how to yet.

You'll remember me when you're an award winning stage actor yes? Maybe? hug

Yeah. So looking forward to the weekend.. this has been the longest week ever.. mad2 Work's being a real piece of work at the moment.. ubblol

Not sure being famous in the UK's a good thing though.. you get famous for doing a one-off something which deserves recognition.. then before people forget you, some photog catches you doing groceries and before you know it, it's 10 years later, people wonder why you haven't done anything for your 'celebrity' career..

Nap? Sounds like you need to concuss ubblol No matches.. got scotchtape for the eyelids if you like?

go to coles.. and next to the peanut butter.. there is a white jar called "marshmallow fluff".. it's the consistency of white PVA glue.. and is like marshmallows... eat it straight out of the jar.. with your fingers.. until you need to use a spoon to reach.. do iiiiiit...

Paintball.. hehe.. the trick is to incapacitate everyone else before they shoot you. I think. wink

Lou: Yeah! Toast spread. It's super- you really ought to make it sometime. I bought a whole boatload of crumpets too.. Now just one spread for the lot.. hmm. Reminds me. Been a while since I've had nutella..

Marshmallow fluff is more than a bit worrying though. Reminds me of that weird fella who collected jars (sorted by colour!) of navel fluff!!! :eeek: eeeeeeee.....

Save me 20 meatballs k? hug

Russ: Hey sir.. pretty alright now. Was terrible yesterday. Worst day of 2006. Thought I lost every photo I shot in the last 6 months because my drive crashed.

Had to use DiskPatch to rebuild my partition table (learn something new every day..).. right now things seem alright.. just my external harddrive enclosure is dead as 10 dead things..and not nearly as cute as Didi.. shrug

How're you? *gives neckrub*
