top o' the morning wales based poiple! this is the thread for all things wales based, although the crew is mostly based in the land of taff currently with a sizeable offshoot in the land of tawe, please talk about funky things all over cymru in this thread!!
so, for the uninitiated, here is an exciting list of regular poi activities for the wales based....
Cardiff/Caerdydd:
Thursday nights, 8-10pm, come along to Ebenezer Church (Charles Street, around the back of Burger King and Next) for nofitstate circus' community juggling club, for poi and all sorts of other exciting juggle arts. It's just £2.
Little Devil's Circus coming soon... contact pitman for further details or keep an eye on this thread
on sunny evenings/days, Roath Park (Rec. or flower garden) you may well find a NOn spinning... it might also not be a NOn, or even a HoP person at all, but if you see someone there spinning, you may as well say hello...
at other unspecified times, there may be other meets, check the most recent posts in this thread for specific details...
Juggling Shops
Cardiff Games, Duke St Arcade: although not exclusively a juggling shop, they stock some poi, juggling balls and rings, plus occasional other sorts of toys... oh and the guy who owns it does poi too!

I am up for a meet. we need a location and a date. I fly home on the 19th december so between now and then would be cool.
Perhaps we could have a chrimbo spinning meet (mulled wine and a nip of something to keep us warm?)
I will kidnap Chutney and Blasphemous girl and Chris and make them come. I'll put them in a big sack and deliver them to the middle of Wales like santa.

suitable: i'd still say pontcanna fields, as there is a pub near by if the weather sucks, and its safe, they don't mind fire etc.
there is plenty of cheap acc. near the city centre, i may have a place if people can't find anywhere.

Hi folks - I'm not sure how current this thread is but I'm a recent poi enthusiast (since a pal showed introduced me to it at the Big Chill this year) and I'd love to meet up with some other spinners before I develop too many bad habits!
I'm actually based in Penarth but can easily travel. Weekdays after 6pm are usually best for me. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd love to hear from you :-)

Sorry for not being here but have sort of lost interest since this dam cold weather as taken over and wow so much to catch up on,,,,,,got there in there end its a shame I live in pembrokeshire as its a bit far to see you lot on a week day but I might be able to trundle down your way on weekends when the weather gets a bit better.
On a plus note though im staying with my folks over xmas so between 27 28 dec I could meet as near around cardiff and so as they live in Rhondda plus ive just got my Gf some poi for Xmas ,she dont know so sssssssshhhhh
getting back to meets though maybe we should all get something going where we can camp for nothing near a beach,,bring supplies ect and have fun
