Hello all,

i am new to the world of poi (about 3 weeks now) and enjoying beating myself with them... that is the point isnt it?? to my staisfaction i have managed to master a whole heap of moves by myself including 5bt weave, and nearly btb weave and reverse 5bt weave. but always looking for people to help and give advise etc...

aaanyway, im just about to move up to brissy (been in melbourne) so wanting to meet some new people into the things that i am (namely poi at this point in time). i will be up there feb-ish at this stage.

so i thought i might show my face and say hello to you all smile

love and light to you all

Welcome fellow Aussie spinner!

I love Brisbane, great atmosphere and lots of colourful (maybe pink) people. Also a great spinning and twirling shop.

And don't forget, 5bt weaves look boring if you can't dance with them...

hm, pinecones, my favourits!

zarkia- thank you biggrin and and and bounce i have pretty much got a hyperloop down too, and last night when i was playing i got the side to side butterfly that looks like a croc/alligator, so that was pretty exciting! bounce bounce2 its great i have been practicing heaps at night with cheap arse glow loop things on the end (really cheap - $1 and they last for nights and nights as long as you put them in the freezer when you are finished) and for some reason i can always get the things i try at night pretty much first time if i cant see what the strings/socks are doing *shrugs* strange how different people work. but yes its all very new and exciting for me as i am a fast learner!!!

gidg- or maybe my excuse should be that im compltely unco when it comes to that kind of thing and im just using my height as an excuse but SHHH!!! ya cant tell anyone ok??

i've checked out a little video of someone doing it but cant fathom whats going on.

and greetings, anyway..
although we've already met.
so should i still greet you?
is this all redundant (like me (as in, no work))?
anyway.

Gidg- i can do a hyperloop when im not thinking about it and im playing with glow things, but if i try to think about it and practice in the day it doesnt work- go figure!!!

Meditator- you cacn say hello as many times as you want (well maybe... it might get a little annoying if you say it every second word...( but hug thank you for the hellos smile oh yeah... im a visual learner too, and the only time i have ever seen a hyperloop was a tiny little video on the net, so it is possible. just lots of tangling and whacking, but keep at it... if i can, anyone can!!!

bec- yes i am planning on coming and meeting lots of people as i will know a huge total of about 2 people when i move up, and in my experience poi-ers/spinners are always such wonderful lovely people, so yes it is definately part of my plan biggrin
is there any kind of weekly meet in bris at this stage???
