You can't avoid pain by fencing yourself from it.
Some times you need the help of others more than anything else
But you have to let them close enough to help......
People want to be needed, I found that out too

snow might be fun if you didnt have to shovel it and if your car didnt get stuck in it....

See... that's where you're wrong. Snow is fun. For an hour. THEN it sucks. wink

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

You've got snow already?
And you're not even in Scotland?!
Is it proper snow? Or snow that melts the instant it touches the ground?

It's supposed to be a very chilly winter in the UK this year.
I just hope I get some snow whilst I'm home for Christmas and new year. biggrin

I worked with an Australian girl in Wales, and she'd never seen the snow.
We got woken up at 3am by a faulty fire alarm, and had to go and stand outside in a blizzard.
It was so funny watching her. ubblol

It was pissing down with rain all day and i wanted to go out and spin doubles. Then it stopped raining and looked quite nice. So i got ready to go outside. Found my walkman and a Pranksterz CD....

went to the door and insta-blizzard.

Fun idea though. Just wish it had held off for another hour.

Cool! SnowBovine smile

When I was living in a snowy part of the world, we dug and designed a couch from the snowbank at the side of the house. Was tres comfy. We'd come home from a morning on the mountain and sit on the couch (still in snow gear) and drink a beer in the sun.... *smiles at memories* And then the boys would do stupid things like launching themselves and their snowboards from the roof and stuff.

snow is great, here in vermont we get more snow than most people can handle during the winter usually, but we havnt gotten any proper snow yet this fall frown but the second i saw the first flake of the stupid melt-the-second-it-touches-the-ground-snow i realized it was time for hockey bounce clap bounce2 biggrin i love it, for those of you who dont have snow, i feel really bad. here at my school, we have lots of dorm students who come from all over the world, and alot of them have never seen snow before, its so interesting to watch them run around in their pajamas in a foot of snow, untill they realize that snow is really cold lol

i left this morning at 6.45am and it was still pitch dark but the garden and the road and the cars all looked silver and glittered under the moonlight

at first i thought it was snow but then realised it was just frost. but a lot of frost. thick icy frost

there wasn't a sound to be heard, only the crunch of frozen earth beneath my feet.

i could see venus shining brilliantly to the east, and what i'm sure was another planet (perhaps jupiter?) a little more south/south-east

what a beautiful start to the day..... ubblove

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely smile

Fabergé that sounds lurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrvley

and it is funny to see anilmals, kids, people in general when they first see snow, my old dog used to run around the garden trying to eat it all then he would get tongue freeze

either way i think snow is cool and earlier this year the kids had their first ever snow day, which came a couple of weeks after they saw the film.
the only thing i don't like about the snow is when it melts. i so much like snow to rain.

well here in austria you can ski all year long on the glaciers......
we used to ski to school from my friends place who lived up a loooooong hill, you should have seen the faces of the city people driving around seeing some moronic school kids skiing down the streets between the cars..... ubblol

i could tell you so much crazy stuff we did in the snow....

i went skiing in france with a bunch of russian friends of mine, and after a hearty stop at the skibar we decided to go offpiste, we ended up on a highway somewhere in the french alps skiing along with trucks, cars and buses

thats the harmless stuff

Its sooo beautiful, especially the street near my house. The trees are all white...
On my way to the office i pass the quay. And i can see one of the seven high buildings that were built in Moscow when it was not Russia, but it was USSR and comunism - the Moscow State University (I actually study there). Its huge and strong, and surrounded by a park. Today I didnt see it. It was stolen by snow... Really. Like a giant sky-scraper just dissapeared... excl
