Well, I've been a member here for a while but barely explored the forums, so I thought it's about time I should. I'll start by making a proper introductory thread, all fancy-like
I've been doing poi for a little over 4 months, and both long staff and short staff for about 2 months... and I tend to mess up more than is probably safe. I also do a bit of firebreathing, if the mood takes me (as seen in the avatar).
Erm, other stuff... I'm a photography student, and I actually plan to do one of my projects on effects that can be achieved by taking photos of fire, so that should be cool. I also study psychology. And um. That's about as many interesting things I can think of to put.

Pink is okay, but really, purple beats it hands down. Purple just rocks.
Nottingham is pretty good, if a little boring and rainy.
At the moment I can only do black & white film photographs in my class, which I really love... but I'm also fond of digital cameras, and hope to get a decent one as soon as I have the money.
duballstar: I think I saw you in Sheffield... I wasn't sure though, and I'm hella shy, so I didn't say anything... in fact I didn't talk to many people that day

im a cameraman (ish) and i have filmed a lot of fire poi and experimented with photographing it as well and it looks so nice even on a 1sec exposure whicj is the best my camera can do.

they also help to slow us down by adding more air resistance when we fall flat on our faces when drunk so it hurts less.
