Hello, wavehello

I'm Helen, 25 years old from Dublin, Ireland. I currently work in a library restoring historic maps, but as of this Friday, i will be jacking that in to go travelling, starting with Burning Man sunny

I've been spinning poi for a couple of years now, and playing with a fire wheel (thanks Squarefish!). I lurked for ages on HOP because i was shy ubbangel but recently i've had the pleasure of meeting a lot of the other Irish spinners who post here, and i've realised what i was missing out on by not getting to know more of you lovely people grouphug

I'll be camped with the Paddy Mirage at Burning Man, so please come over for a pint if you're around! beerchug

Hope to meet more of you (and pick up a few tricks wink )

Thanks for reading this,

Helen

BTW, sláinte means "good health" or "cheers" in Gaelic in case anyone was confused

Not yet got round to reading Strumpet City, no. It'll have to join my neverending list of books i want to read but can't find the time to. You'd think if you work in a library they'd allow you some time to just enjoy the books...

...And pay you for it tongue

Ahh, wishful thinking....

Enough of the Irish now. It's past midnight, and there's no call for thinking at this hour.

Thanks again for doing the show on Friday night. I had a really good time in the end, even if it did seem for a while like it was going to go all pear-shaped....

Photos on the way. My PC is all slow, and doesn't approve of uploading. Crashing is much more fun seemingly mad2

Should really go to bed now, as i have to be a spinster librarian again tomorrow. This double life is tiring.

Have a lovely time...

And hellos Helen... mild-mannered librarian by day, but rampaging firedemoness by night... there's definitely an award-winning comic strip in there somewhere ubblol

Have a really marvellous time at the Man... and say hi to Martin for us all. Have you seen Hot Press this week? There's a huge interview with the guy who started Burning Man in it... very interesting. Take care and bring lots of water!!!

Bah, all youse Irish-speaking types. I'd love to have learnt Irish at school, but due to the unique way Norn Iron is funded, apparently French was more appropriate.
Along with the 'small' changes to the history books frown

Anyways, take care y'all. I should really do an intro thread one day. Maybe when I get to 200 posts...

Love Clare xo

Hi Laura,

How are the plans for Dun Laoghaire coming along? Sorry i won't be there, but i have a bar to burn in the desert. As you do.

Now i'm all excited. Only 6 days before i leave! Think i'll do some more bouncing - to keep Gidg company, and make eye-contact with Patrick every once in a while
