I live in Salem, OR & could really use a practice partner or teacher for poi & staff. None of my friends do this so I've been on my own & could use some help. I go to Portland & Eugene alot, so anyone in those areas as well as Salem who's interested, let me know.

I started looking at everyone else's intros & decided mine wasn't as good as the cool kids so I'm adding more. You know, the whole "just want to be like Mike" complex? Just kidding. I'm not weird, I'm unique. Anyways, I'm new to the whole fire thing, both poi & staff, although I do have some baton & glowstick twirling so I've got a few basics. I've been practicing staff alot. That might be because I'm still in the process of making my poi. Tells you how new I am, huh? I think I'll be lighting up my staff within the next week or two, hopefully I won't light myself up in the process. Hope to hear from everyone soon!!!

I pretty much love it all. I listen to everything from the Brady bunch to thrash music & even yodelling. Yes, I said yodelling. I think all music has something to offer. As for the movie thing, I'm not too in to action, horror flicks & comedy are more my speed, but any action movie with Angelina Jolie or Vin Diesel is a must see. Of course any action flick, or any movie for that matter, with good eye candy is ok by me. Pizza, mexican, chinese are my favorites...oh yeah, Mc Donald's too. I'm the ultimate junk food junkie. Of course everything tastes better with a beer or good margaritta.

Hey crmanier! How goes it? Isn't being from Oregon just lovily.
I've sent you email on the Fire Jam and PiP. Hope to be able to connect up soon. Oh and try to do a search in the meeting others area. I haven't looked in Salem myself, but maybe you can get lucky. But you can still come up to Portland and we can play for a while.

hey! you're so cool! you're a vin diesel and angelina jolie fan too oregon seems to be the booming place for poi now, so you won't have any problems finding people to spin with I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

I've found people in Oregon!!!! Whoooo hoooo! You were right Pounce. And yes, I love Vin & Angelina. I hope to meet them one day. I have a friend that's been on tv sitcoms & had a speaking part in Gone In 60 Seconds, & he's gotten to hang with them. I'm hoping to pull some strings, if I ever get to Hollywood that is.

Ooooh, another person coming to the area. I vote that you move to Portland!

Oooooh, Richland! I can understand about the ice and stuff. They are totally right, driving in that area would be totally wacko. I've done the trip from Texas to Oregon and the northern route is not one you would want to take during the winter.
