Just got word that my dog Sam has to be put to sleep within the next couple of days... just when i thought things couldnt be any worse..

I remeber that I held my doggies paw when she was put down and it was the saddest thing that ever happened.
I still cry now when I think about it...
remeber that they go to heaven too and play with chewed up tennis balls while they wait for you....

Its horrible loosing a pet - I remember bawling at school when my cat died My familys dog, whos 16 years old now (he's a darling pug), is starting to get to that point, hes getting deaf and blind and well, very old.
I'm heading off to Europe next month for a year or two, and i'm very afraid that my darling dog will not be there when i get back to greet me at the door with a wag of his cute curly tail
I smile because i have no idea whats going on!!
