'ello! wave welcome! hug tell us more about yourself!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.

Yes I've learnt the hyperloop last week and have just taught my mate too!

YEY to the hyperloop...but YEY to the 5 bt windmill too smile

Try the free lessons link at the top of the page and have a look in the tech section or you could try registering at Spherculism cuz the tutuorial videos there are F A N T A S T I C and a great help.

I would try to explain but I know it just wouldn't make any sense to anyone except me and the folk who can do them!! ubblol But one peice of advise is that they're much easier than you'd imagine, it only took about 30 mins to learn a 4/5 beat basic hyperloop.

Good Luck!! beerchug

What do u guys rate is the best -looking and feeling- move youve learnt weavesmiley

Poi has become like a therapy to me, its strangely calming standing almost completely passively imbetween two balls weaving round and around without ever tangling. After a hard day I know that I can escape from it all by grabing my well worn poi and spinning ubbloco

I'm trying one handed stuff, weaves, butterflies etc...
I recon It'd look pretty awesome if you got 4 poi (2 in each hand) going at the same time biggrin

Cheers -the poi pioneer-

Welcome to the madness!

As for best looking and feeling moves? That is a tough one.

I've been working on a series of butterfly/thread the needle turns, moving laterally as I turn....going from in to outward butterfly.

Another favorite these days is the extra beat corkscrew, and turning counter to the spin of the corkscrew. I've been told it looks wicked, but I've not seen it...I'm always the one doing it. *shrug*

heh heh, that's always the way. As someone wrote here not long ago you learn then hit a plateau for a while and then learn again and hit another plateau...and on and on and it's soooo true!!
I'm quite enjoying the glostick vids at the mo and working some of that stuff into my sock poi. I've got those rainbow LED hacky sacks inside and they're pretty cool at night biggrin weavesmiley

I now live only for the nights I spend on the beach listening to the steady drum beat, spinning away. There is nothing prettier than the flames dancing above and around my body. It brings a sence of peace and calm to me, in a way a kindof meditation.

Sorry guys I lapsed into my subconsious self.

Poi is a way of life cool

Peace peace
