Hey ppl, i'm new here. Just thought i would say hi.
A friend of mine does fire dancing an i thought it looked cool so i wanted to try. He made me a set of poi but only just before i moved away to varsity. So here i am just trying to learn.
I come from South Africa, staying in Cape Town at the moment. Look forward to learning alot.

tell us more about yourself, what movies you like, what's your favorite colour (just say pink, trust me on this one), how many pets you have, whether your second toe is bigger than your big toe? I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Wow...so many questions so little time
Like i said, i'm staying in Cape Town where i'm studying business at varsity. Im just starting second year now, turned 19 bout a month ago.
Fav colour is blue (sorry pounce) an my toes were fine the last time i checked.
I'm can do the easy stuff with the poi, still learning the harder things but there is one thing i must ask. It sound pretty damn silly but HOW THE HELL DOES ONE TURN AROUND WITHOUT BREAKING ONE'S RHYTHM

Opps...sorry I used to know a girl called Gimli (I think it was spelt differently) but thinkin about it don't actually know if it was her real name or a nick name!

Oh and turning is a sinch once you can spin backwards, but gotta nail the backwards thing first then just spin em at your side to turn about.
Have a look in the lessons section, it's quite good and has most things you'll need to know to get going. There's the tech section too and everyone here is always willing to lend some advice to help you on your way!

hi! and awsome! south africa, i had a friend when i was in high school come from there and he would speak some afrikaans to me and i would try to reply in dutch to him tho i dont know much. have fun learning and i hope you like it here!~
