i am putting this in the intros as a way to re-introduce myself as i felt my first time was a bit pants and i lost the thread and, well it was just a bad effort... anyway this is where i am going to keep those interested informed as to my travels for the next 6 months and where i get to spin, who i meet and what i get up to in general.
so firstly to do the whole intro thing again for those i do not have the pleasure of knowing yet...

from london. but currently travelling round australia having just zipped round japan, then in a few months onto new zealand, then fiji and then north america.
fave film - the lost boys
fave animal - penguin
oh blah blah that will do for now!
SO...............
The Adventure began in Toyama, Japan. The snow was up to my knees and yes I have photographic evidence of me spinning poi in snow this deep which I will post here as soon as I get to a computer able to cope with this (in other words - as soon as I find anyone more capable of using a computer to do it for me
)I went to Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Tokyo following this, the most interesting things occuring being:
* getting lost absolutely every single day, usually for hours, but not really caring as it's a good way to see random back ends of cities.. ahem, that's my story and i will stick to it until the end...
* making 'friends' in osaka with a japanese boy who followed me all round the zoo but got so annoyed at me for spending over 30 mins with the penguins, and still wouldn't leave me alone for ages even though we couldn't understand a word the other was saying.
* the weird weird tunes that the crossings play in kyoto when the green man (complete with top hat an pointy shoes, tee hee) comes on to tell you it is safe to cross. so bizarre.
* a ride called 'the 13 doors' at a theme park in tokyo which literally scared the [censored] out of me like nothing before. you get a key and have to wander round in the dark tripping over bodies on the ground, having things scream in your ear etc, and open doors with this key when you find them. urrrgh, such a freaky thing. even the 'kiddie' haunted house was enough to give me nightmares.
* going to see belle and sebastian in tokyo after sitting next to one of the band on the plane from london and making friends with them... this was fun and very strange, as going to shows in other countries often can be. guestlist place did mean front row seat of the balcony which was nice, and i hadn't anywhere to stay that night so a very nice american girl i met there let me share her (very nice) hotel room
the brain is tired so that is all i can think of for now.
NOW in mandurah, near perth, australia. it's SO warm. hurrah!
had a quick spin in my friend's car park today and made a new friend who was fascinated by it which was cool. and going to stay with Gnor this weekend, cannot wait!!!! 
that'll be all for now. i'll write again when there is more to tell, whenever that shall be. thanks to everyone who has sent me pms since i have left, it is so nice knowing you are still all out there to chat to. bye!

awe, i am gonna miss being with you SO much, gnor. it has been so much fun!

Miss you too honey, but hopefully see you again sooner than you perhaps imagined.. (ie - tomorrow!). I found some bands to go see tonight though so am sorted for now. phew!
no big news updates everyone.

Eleanor breezed through again for a few short hours ate pasta then went back to the "high maitenance" backpackers hilton.

high maintence people were all so [censored] from last night they went to bed early so me and the old crusties took over the pool area tonigh - schweeeet!!!!
have spent the night with a table representing england (me), finland (my lovely girl anna), sweden, switzerland, germany, south africa and spain x2. it's been good fun, and i even have a buddy for the plane ride tomorrow now.

Beaaaaautiful photos from Japan btw, I was looking at them again. You've rekindled my urge to go and see the place for myself... now I just need to clear my debts, find some time, learn japanese... ok it might be a little while, but I'm gonna go!

i'm back I have done an incredible amount in such a short space of time... and it's funny you should mention Japan Simon as I have met so many more Japanese people in Australia than Japan itself! Guess the English speaking / friendly backpacker types are the ones that travel - yes that makes sense.
Anyway, I will have the photos of me spinning on top of Kings Canyon, by Ayers Rock and in front of a stunning waterfall in the rainforest posted in my *brand new photo gallery*
when i get time to work out how that all works, hahaha! will stick them on the yahoo page too probably.I swam with turtles yesterday! and spent far too long today sliding down the same rock in the middle of all these waterfalls, soooo much fun
but legs are paying for it now I meet people daily who have been to New Zealand recently and fallen for it bigtime, so each and every day that I get closer to going there I get a bit more giggly and exciteable... BUT I have so much more Oz fun to come before then so I shouldn't get ahead of myself. It's just like listening to a broken record when you say to people "what did you think of NZ then?"
To everyone I communicate with here - would much rather you emailed me than pm-ed me if that is ok.. just cos I don't come here as often now and check email more. It is eleanor5446@hotmail.com for anyone who doesn't have it. of course you can post rambling replies here if you desire, especially if they tell me you are jealous of me - tee hee.

and i never forget anyone, even the ones who forget me! (huh)i span fire for my hostel owners last night and they were dead impressed

still not made it to the lagoon.. it's a whole 15 mins walk into town and in this heat that is a lot of effort

No seriously, I was gutted I forgot to take my poi Scuba Diving!! That would have been so fun, and I got a whole film of pictures of me stroking turtles and playing with squidgy things and fish and stuff.. aaagh, underwater poi would have been the BEST!
well if i go again i will remember, and let you know how it goes...

I'd love to... and I was going to take a holiday in april but it looks like I won't be... where are you going to be in april?!
(I'm actually scarily serious here, I've had such a weird bizarre and stressful new year I could do with actually *having* a holiday when I'd planned to have a holiday, LOL!)
