Posted: Hey! So, I'm part of a firedancing group that is trying to get into a local Carnaval parade. I'm putting together the promo page as we speak, but I'm wondering...does anyone have any history for any sort of firedancing in the regions of Africa, the Caribbean, or anywhere in Latin America? I know the whole Pacific-Islander/Maori history thing of it, but the theme of this parade is more Hispanic/African/Caribbean and I'm thinking if I play up that side of it's history, we have a better chance of getting a slot in the parade. Thanks!!
