Possibly only the UK massiv'/ crew/ Cru/ Posse/ Fraternity will know what im tlaking about (which is a contradiction in itself)

The Office. David Brent. Tim. Wernam Hogg.

This (in my opinion) brilliantly funny series has finally drawn to an end.

David finally has a love interest
Tim and Dawn finally got together

Hooray!

now, there has been reather a large ammount of controversy about this series, some saying its brilliantly funny, others despising it with every nerve and sinew in their body.

I personally love it and will be buying the Dvds as soon as my next student loan cheque comes through.

What did you think of it?

DId you love it or hate it?
Should there have been one last series?
Was David Brents dance (as seen in my video) a timeless peice of tv?
Does anyone actually care?
Why did Gareth never realise Tim and Dawn were taking the piss out of him?
Ever?

I think this is a shameless attempt at trying to overtake c@tnus's post count whilst he isn't around to defend himself eek

but if not, i thought some of the episodes were tediously boring, and some really good.

My boss is a little too much "I am the greatest boss you will ever have" for my liking. But at least it makes the piss takes a lot of fun... biggrin

It was a day for screaming at inanimate objects.

What this calls for is a special mix of psychology and extreme violence...

It's great but sometimes he makes such a fool of himself I either want to kill him or scratch my eyes out, especially the dancing scene.

I haven't seen all of them but some of them had me pissing myself.

I remember laughing a lot when Gareth was chatting to the computer repair guy. I have a great job now, but where I used to work there were actually people just like that. Hard to belive they actually exist.

We get it over here too and it rocks. cool
The funniest comedy moment in the UK last year was voted as when David was doing Keith's annual performace review.... ubblol probably, my favourite bit too with the the dance a close second.

Apparently he hadn't even practiced that and was making it up as he was going along.

It's a bit frightening that everyone says Ricky Gervais is actually like that in realy life though... eek

I suspect that anyone who can create and play a character like that must, at one time, have had experience of being like that.

I thought the first series were really funny and insightful.

And I was really pleased with the christmas episodes, a few months back I saw an interview in which he said he wanted 'completion' with the last episodes and I think it was done really well.

They weren't hilarious, but I thought they finished on an inspiring note where someone who was basically a congenital pratt recognises that its time to face up to it and take the opportunity decide what's important, and go with it.

yea i thought the moral at the end of it was pretty nicely done aswell. the way as soon as david realises that he dosnt have to try to impress people to make a difference, he actually makes people laugh. which is what hes been trying to do all along....
