Favorite Color: Navy Blue, Silver, Blue. (Sorry Alice.)
Other Cool Stuff: I'm a cat and dog person. Right now, my life is ruled by my cat, Storm. She's a doll. Crazy, but a doll.

I've been to the other side of the planet....Kyrgyzstan is a beautiful country.

OK, so Cirque.
Still hard to find adequate words, but Oh My.
In person, I've seen Drallion twice, and Allegria. Each show was absolutely stunning.
I wondered the Mystique of Cirque would wane on seeing my fourth show...and I can tell you...not even close.
I was more excited about seeing Verekai than I was any of the other three shows...Mand and I were celebrating not only her Birthday, but our aniversary. (can you believe it's been a year???)
We went to find our seats, and wow, did we have great seats!! I'm used to sitting in the second tier section, but this time, we were in the first section (not the VIP section). I don't know that we could have had better seats....very close to the stage, and pretty much dead center.
The acts...always breath taking. The costumes...OH MY!! They out did themselves on costumes. I have a hard time saying which were my favorites, but it would probably have to be the last act where the guys launch themselves from giant swings....that or the lizard outfits at the very beginning of the show.
The MAKEUP!! My word, I realllly want to learn how to do makeup like that...Mand and I both do...we need to find a class....

I could probably go on, but...wow...I...wow. I'll leave it there for now!

I'm writing this a day early because I'll be out and about tomorrow, and won't get the chance....what follows is not for those who are "Schmoop adverse." I'm celebrating a huge change that took place in my life about one year ago.
One year ago, I had someone come visit me, and that one trip changed my life forever. Mand and I met a month earlier, and I can still remember the hug we gave each other before I had to return to Brighton so I could pack, and leave for the states the next day. I remember the warmth I found in her arms, the comfort and calm that seemed to envelope me. It took a great deal for me to pull away from that hug. As I turned the corner, part of me wondered when I'd see her again, if ever.
Perhaps a week later, I got a PM from her, asking if she could come visit. Who knew that her visit would lead to such wonderful changes in my life?? I certainly wasn't expecting anything of her visit. That said, though, I remember being quite excited, and quite terrified, at the same time, about her visiting me. I mean...what if she didn't like me??? What if we didn't get along???
The first hug we shared when we got home was just as warm and soothing as the one we shared that Saturday night in Kent the previous month. The biggest difference? I was nervous, and could feel my heart pounding in my chest. What next? What will happen next.
I won't go into the details of that weekend, but I will say I found love that weekend, and I wasn't even looking for it. Neither of us wanted a serious relationship, but we soon realized neither of us could deny the feelings budding between us. I believe she and I shared a spark back in January on that Kent weekend, and that spark grew slowly, quietly, until we found ourselves face to face in February. There was a fire between us, and that fire still burns strong. We dance amongst the flames like giddy girls.
My dear sweet Mand, I love you with a passion that I cannot put to words, as there are no words adequate to express what I feel. I am a lucky woman to have you by my side, to share my life with. We have faced challenges already, and will have other challenges before us in the future, but our love will see us through the tough times, of that I am certain.
I love your sense of adventure, your creativity, and your drive. You have a passion for life that is absolutely refreshing. That first Friday after you arrived, I remember you talking about your dream, and thinking, "I want to be a part of that! I want to share that moment with you!" I'd only really just met you!! How amazing is it that one trip, one ten-day visit could produce such a beautiful outcome?
I love you with all my heart. Happy Aniversary, Mand.
