Hobbies: poi, SCUBA, horseback riding (English), collecting coins, writing, reading, rock climbing, traveling, collecting minerals, and soo much more.
Music : Trance, World, clasical, and most others aside from country.
Movies : Silence of the Lambs, Matrix, Amelie, Chocolat, Fellowship of the Ring Expanded version, Two Towers, Expanded Version, Strictly Ballroom, and So many more.
Books: Where to begin? Huge Sci Fi buff, but also love Toni Morrison (Song of Solomon, Paradise): Bastard out of Carolina, Tracks, Dreaming in Cuban. (Those are my non Sci Fi titles)
Sci Fi/fantasy wise: In the Company of Others (Julie Czerneda, and all her other books), The Dark Jewel Trilogy by Anne Bishop, Green Rider by Kristen Britain, SnowCrash, Spin State (by Chris Moriarty), Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon. and Lots more.
Favorite Color: Navy Blue, Silver, Blue. (Sorry Alice.)
Other Cool Stuff: I'm a cat and dog person. Right now, my life is ruled by my cat, Storm. She's a doll. Crazy, but a doll.
I've lived in Tennessee, North Carolina, Washington State (My Fav.) Louisiana and Texas.
I've been to the other side of the planet....Kyrgyzstan is a beautiful country.
I love visiting different countries, and I'm dying to live in the UK for a couple of years (perhaps get my PhD there?).
Dark Chocolate sings to me as does Sushi, though not at the same time.
I enjoy cooking, though my repetoire is limited.
Cassandra's CREPES Sing to me as well...OH HOW I miss them!
Like Vanize, I enjoy role playing games.
I tend to ramble.

Women. I like Women.
There are a couple of men I like too, but I'm really way picky.

Yeah, it seems she's suddenly got all loving (not all the time though).
She comes and lies on us in bed a lot more than she used to.
Also, if I'm on the computer on an evening and Kim's on the bed, she'll often hop up there and curl up next to her.
I think the cold weather is making her want more snuggles.

I know what its like to worry over a much loved pet. My oldest cat is 20 years old and I have lots of days now when I wonder if she will still be with us in the morning. She's happy in herself but she is getting frail.

My roommate is holding up ok, or is at least putting up a strong front. Mary will have surgery tomorrow....we'll know more then. Fingers crossed.

Very cool, PK. Storm is just storm. I debated between Storm and Pax, which means peace.
When storm was a kitten, she was really dark with an orang flame on the top of her head, and got the nickname "Flame" before she came home with me. She started lightening up as she got older, and is this very cool tortoise calico...quite hard to describe to be honest. I'll have to post a picture. I digress...
I settled on Storm as a name because I figured if I called her Pax, she'd be a holy terror. So she's Storm, and she's one hyper cat, who can be loving when she wants to be, which is usually at 4 in the morning.
I do love that cat, though.

Ah...I almost forgot to update...
Mary the cat is back home, but limited to my roommate's room until the vet takes a look at her on Tuesday.
She had two deep bite marks near her rear, and the muscles back there were quite torn up. The vets operated, and she came through quite well.
She's drugged most of the time, to dull the pain, and walks around with a cone on her head, but she's still the attention slut she's always been.

But hunny, you might have been able to stop the dogs if you had a gun...
...well, ok, they would've laughed in the face of your pistol, (specially as all the dogs round here are F$$ked up on meth anyway) but maybe they would've stopped if you'd put that away and grabbed your AK-47.
