Howdy yall!

Wish I had my old intro thread, but will have to make do with what I can.

Interests: Poi (OF COURSE!), dancing, playing the violin, swimming, listening to music...and the list goes on... wink

Occupation: Well as of right now I'm working till I get my bill paid off to the uni. I work at a local vet office as a kennel tech. I love it alot and get to work with animals. I am responsible for feeding/watering, medicating, bathing/dipping dogs and cats.

What I Want to be When I Grow Up I would like to see myself working at a zoo with different types of animals. I would love to be the person showing them to children and on tv shows.

Been spinning since October 2002

Been using fire since January 2003

Will continue to spin til whenever... biggrin

I hope to see some old friends and meet some new ones here! hug

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Oh I'm a happy girl. Bought a hardback book for the paperback copies price. Instead of paying $20 I only had to pay $8! I wished that the first book in the series was mis priced also. Then I WOULD REALLY BE HAPPY! ubbtickled

What books do you like to read ?.

Books about animals or scary novels. I bought Fire Bringer by David Clement-Davies and his second novel called The Sight.

Those two books are about animal fantasy. I read non-fiction animal stuff and fictional animal stuff. I like to also read scary books like the one's I read in my teen years. RL Stine books and such. I'm just a sucker for those! redface

I havn't read anything in a long time and have noticed that I'm having trouble focusing on stuff. Need to get back in the swing of things. spank biggrin

I try posting in intro's too like most of yall, but I don't think I can add much to what has already been said. I try and post in some of the intro's but nobody really seems to visit mine, unless I hint at it or something.

don't assume that mate, sometimes we are just too busy to reply.

I for one will never forget the post you made about the giant moth you found. I love moths and was delighted someone else found such joy and beauty in them as well smile

And I used to think I was a thread killer too, I think we all go through that at some point ubbrollsmile

Thank you Ade hug
I wasn't too sure if other people liked that moth or not. Most people think insects and arachnids are evil and scary, but I love them ubblove I'm glad to hear you enjoy them as much as me smile

I understand that people tend to get busy with stuff and don't have time to visit threads, or HoP for that matter. *points at self* redface

I'm just glad that I am in a happier mood wink

hug ubblove

In fact Mistress, would you beleive that every day for the past week I have gone into my bathroom, and there has been a HUGE purple and black moth fluttering around - it then follows you out of the bathroom, around the house and then back out the garden eek

it's also been a great week for buterflies in Sydney - I have seem some really big and colourful ones ubblove

Sweetness! That would be so cool to have a moth follow you around. It's just barely beggining to be spring here so not many insects are out yet.

I'm not too sure what kind of nat hangs around our bathrooms. It doesn't bite..Well never bit anybody in my family. It is grey with butterfly looking wings, but is very small like a nat. It will land on you and just sit there. Usually before I would take a shower I would liberate all the nats and other bugs that happened to either fall in or are flying around inside the shower and tub. ubblove

One insect I find very annoying is the mosquito. That is one bug I wish I didn't have to be bit by all the time ubblol

Yes, mosquito's are very annoying. Just be happy you didn't grow up in Mequite, TX. Their high school mascot is a mosquito, and at half-time during football games, they wheel around a giant plastic one. Highly amusing to any opponents ubblol

Oh, and Mistress - another black moth this morning following me around!

OOOOOH soo pretty! Thank you Valura hug

Hey Ade...I had a miller (cousin to the moth) in my bathroom yesterday morning. I had my glasses off and was moving the towel on the rack when I saw something dark flutter in front of my face. I had to grab my glasses to make sure it was what I thought it was. I tried to catch it, but it decided it liked my flouresent light above the sink. I showered and then finally caught it and took it outside and let it go. smile

Hey Puk! hug

I'm doing good...Counting down the days til my 21 birthday (legal drinking age here in the states). March 10!!! beerchug

My room mate got back a couple days ago. She was visiting her family in India. She brought me back a late Christmas gift which is counting as my birthday gift also. She got me a figurine of Ganesh(sp), the God of Peace and Prosperity. biggrin

Got kinda grossed out today. Found a young cockroach on my bed! eek I can handle any other insect except for roaches mad
Now I'm kinda skeered to sleep in my bed, afraid to have another run in with a roach hiding amongst my sheets *shivers in disgust*

Other than that not much else...Oh yeah! It's getting warmer here! But now it's also beggining to be storm/tornado season. So I will be on the look out for twisters, might go chase one and get footage of it for the fellow HoPpers on here who havn't ever seen a real tornado.

Hope all is good in your world
Sending hug your way ubblove hug smile

I don't mind spiders that much. I tend to know which ones are bad.

My bro is in FL for schooling in the Marines, he too is getting ready for Hurricanes and stuff.

Uni is ok. Still aren't able to enroll in classes yet because I owe the school quite alot. Hopefully by the beggining of August I can enroll for fall.

My hometown and the surrouding area had a bad storm system move through the other day. Possible tornado hit my town. Most people believe that it wasn't fully on the ground just halfway there. It caused alot of problems. A high school and elementary were shut down due to downed power lines and other damage. My parents were watching the storm come in. They put our van(a high profile vehicle) under the car port and my dad put his truch in front of the wind to sort of deflect the 90mph+ straightline winds. They said that the car port's roof was moving up and down like it was breathing and that the van was rocking so hard that they thought it was gonna be knocked over. One of the smaller trailers in the back was tipped up on its back end. A semi on the highway was overturned and some water containers (water mules; huge tanks that hold water for irrigation) were moved. Luckily nobody in my town was injured.

Wild day though ubbloco

beerchug I'll have an advance beer for you...

beerchug and here's one lined up the bar for you, for when the 10th finally makes it 'round to your side of the world ubblol

Hope you have a wonderful fantabulous birthday!! hug

In fact, I might just draw up a stool here, right next to the bar, lean on it a bit, and wait for you to turn up and join me...

I might even get the bbq going and clear a bit of a twirling space out the back for some hoppers to play in for your birthday...

ooooh, and look, I spy a big pressie in the corner, its in a blue sparkly box, with a red ribbon tied all around it, with a bow on top, I wonder what's in it.... ubbloco ubbrollsmile
