I thought that this might be of interest for anyone who is opposed to the war and/or George Bush and his merry incompetants! Its about the US but im pretty sure its similar in the UK

ouch. i can see it being true, although I would like to think not in an idealistic good-journalism-tells-the-whole-truth-kinda-way, however watching the news on an independent spanish channel (opposed to the war especially since one of their reporters was killed when the american tank fired at the press hotel in baghdad) and on CNN, it seemed like two different wars going on.
Unfortunately, the press can be a propaganda tool, and governments have learnt to use it exquisitely.

I question if this is even a lagitamate news organisation. I know there are sites out there that you can make your own report or have fake things on them and I dont know if this is one of them or not.
I have never heard of TBR, and I looked at a bit of the rest of the site and I really didnt see anything that would make me think this is lagitamate.
I mean it hasnt been updated since the 25th, what type of news agency does that??

Whether or not it is a ligitamate news orginization, maybe it would be a good idea to print out a hard copy and keep it handy whilst watching the nightly news reports, then compare the US news reports to reports put out by more objective news orginizations like BBC world news, the guardian, and things along those lines and see first hand for your self how much truth to it there really is. I did. And seems like a much better idea to me than to just dismiss something that could be really important just because it isn't something you are intimately familiar with.
And if nothing else, watching more objective overseas reporting may make you realize just how close US corporate media is to the old Soviet Pravda.

true ray, it isn't particularly official, but some things just can't become legit without being banned/censored first.
I agree the site is fairly dodgy, but from having watched different news channels one can see how they might be used to create/reinforce opinions. I think Al-Jazeera would be a great one to watch alongside CNN if I could understand arabic!
