Posted: right i'm considering doing a working holiday for a few months, hopefully in the US. was wondering if anyones done it before or if anyone has any advice for me? cheers

Posted: If you want to work in the US, and you are not a citizen, then you will need a working visa which is usually not very easy to come by. Just something you might want to look into before getting your hopes up.

Posted: I haven't done it before. However there are a lot of agencies that arrange short term work placements in the US. The roles are often for things like camp counsellors (no, not people who give advice to the gay community , but people who take care of kids attending camps in their holidays). The agencies either arrange all visas for you, or advise you as to what is required.
It was a day for screaming at inanimate objects.
What this calls for is a special mix of psychology and extreme violence...

Posted: I have just done, what u called (camp councilling) in the UK for the a year very near portsmouth and it is awesome fun. But if u are looking for bar work i found a company, can't remember what it was called off the top of my head right now but i will get back to u, that can arrange work for u in bars, pubs and clubs in whateva earea u want to go (within areas that they specify). As far as i worked out u pay them 200 bucks they set u up with work, u can change places a maximum of 4 times in the 2 years and there are a few other rules but i will find the web site and send t to u......cheers
