Name: Linton (wanderinglinton is the current manifestation of me, since I have been roaming around the globe for the last 3 years or so).
Location: Right now - Tainan in Taiwan. Home is Sydney although it has been a while since I was there!!)
Hello to all the Sydneysiders - I'll have to come visit y'all sometime soon.
Age: 33
Sex: Male
Occupation: Freelance lover of life, occasional photographer, and English teacher. I get paid to play games with kids - HAHAHAHA - gotta love that!
Starsigns: Leo (naturally a fire sign) and Rooster
Toys: Mostly poi, but getting into meteors, and staff.
Favorite Places: Ladakh in Northern India on the Tibetan Plateau, Railay in the south and the jungle in the north of Thailand, High Tatras and Bratislava in Slovakia, Prague and Paris.
Most rewarding Experiences: Spending a week and a half with Tibetan nomads in the Himalaya (and not getting shot in the process). Surviving the busride into Ladakh, since we nearly got killed in landslides twice and nearly slipped of the mountain uncountable times. Voluntary teaching with tibetan political refugees in Ladakh and Dharamsala. Meeting the Dalai Lama. Doing volunteer work with underpriviledged Thai children. Living with a Hilltribe in the mountains in Thailand. Finally mastering the onehanded reverse 4 beat weave.
Hobbies: Rock climbing, terrorising Taiwan on my big red motorbike, computer graphics, writing music, playing with fire (of course) and drinking and talking with interesting people.
Movies: hmm – lots, but Scent of a Woman and the Matrix are the first that spring to mind.
Books: Anything (in English) that I can get my hands on.
Favorite quote: (paraphrasing) The rational man concedes then all others think differently to him, it takes an irrational man to think he is right and the rest of the world is wrong. All progress is due to irrational men. (Bernard Shaw – I think)
Posted: Wow, damn you're lucky! I'll be going to China and Japan this summer, though on a more structured trip. Not terribly structured, but still structured.

Posted: Wow! Sounds like you've had some *amazing* experiences so far! Once I get my bachelor's degree finished up I want to take another year off of school and globetrot. Maybe then I'll have some stories like that myself.
Well, welcome to HOP.
