Hey Cass,
Just wanted to let you know I fixed my bitch boots, slashing my finger in the process. But they will definitely be coming with me Europe, now. Wouldn't want the sacrifice of my right pointer finger to have been made in vain.

Ok
Peanut thingies ( )
200-225g plain digestive biscuits
50g butter or block margarine
2 tbsp brown sugar
4 tbsp golden syrup or honey
4 tbsp crunchy peanut butter

Grease a square or round shallow tin (approximatately 18cm in diameter). Put the biscuits in a deep bowl or a polythene bag and crush them with a rolling pin or wooden spoon. Melt the butter, sugar and syrup in a saucepan over a low heat, stirring well, until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and stir in the peanut butter. Mix in the biscuits, stir well. Press into the greased tin, and leave in the fridge or a cool place until set (1/2-1 hour depending on tempreture). Cut into squares or fingers.

Quite simple really. Don't leave them unattended or you'll just have a box with bits of Clapham Common in it when you come back....

Unfortunately, no. Their golden touch does not extend as far as the lucky country. Makes me homesick it does *sniff*

Cass,

love your choice of films, books and music, but have to pick you up on your favourite quote. Depends what you mean by 'kill you' but certainly a lot can happen that can kill parts of you and neither make you stronger, nor happen for a good reason.

hmmm, soz to deepen the thread,

Actually I think you're partly right . If I think about it in all honesty, I think I don't completely care how "accurate" they are, i've just been using them for myself to keep my head up, occasionnaly kick my own butt in tougher times and move on ... you know what I mean ?

I just think you're not always in control of what happens to you, but you're responsible for what you do with it.... do I make sense ? I mean out of the same awfull situation you can decide to sit and cry or you you can fight or at least learn from it... Do you know what I mean ?

I would like to think that Im in control of every step (forward) i take; as I was typing it out it occured to me that obviously that's not the case.

As you say there's definitely a time to sort it out and pull yourself back together, and it takes a lot to do that by yourself, so respect in buckets.

who knows. Whose nose, that's what I say.

p.s. anyone who's bilingual french and english is brilliant.
