Posted: Hey all! I was just playing around with the corkscrew move. As I toyed with what ever i could do in and out of the corkscrew, I found, that a weave is a good way to lead into a corkscrew. For those who want to know how I do it, I start with a weave (3 beats, or maybe even 4 beat) and when I am about to transfer to the right, I move it over myhead, and the poi are swinging in a circle, horizontally over my head. and from there, I go into the corckscrew motions. Getting out... its my weak spot. Earlier I was nailing the exit to a weave, but lately I havent been able to come out of it. Sometimes, I come out in a weave, sometimes I come out in a reverse weave. Well, I was just telling yall about this. And I hope anyone who does this line of moves can help, or even someone who has never done this line will do it now. Cya! Scoot
Posted: Do this with the 5 beat weave with quad corkscrew in the middle. May be easier starting with forward weave, then when you're about to move from right to left move the Poi to the bottom of the corkscrew, unwind. Then wind up to complete the quad corkscrew over your head, then bring this down to the left hand side of your body to complete the weave.9 beat (I think!), 4 points. Should be called a 'Compass'Dom
Posted: I think I see where your coming from, but when start my corkscrew, I start on the top. And another thing that makes it diffrent fro what your doing.. a that is.. I cant do a triple/quad corkscrew. Im workin on it though, post any pointers on how to do the tri/quad corkscrew here though.
Posted: It's the same. When moving from left to right you'll go from left side weave to over the head corkscrew, then down, then right side of weave. There's a few posts on the quad and triple corkscrew, do doing a search will unleash them.Hint I used to learn multi beat moves was just trying to figure out how to get the other hand to go over my head first (ie the left, not the right hand goes over the head first). Hope that helps a bit. Triple took me some time, then quad took a bit longer.Dom
