I was outside playing with my glowsticks, as usual and I started doing the 5 beat weave, then I decided to try it over my head windmill style. Well after sevearly battering my left side I got it. I was just wondering if this would be the right name for it(5 beat windmill). Hey thanks a lotEric------------------If you don't want to be an addict, don't ever start spinning.

hey fella, are you sure its 5 beats? could be a 4beat windmill (the 5th beat - behind the head - is a biatch, if you can get it you have wrists of rubber buddy)you can do a 5b-W over your head but facing forwards - but thats just a W-5b-OH smileNow that you mention it though, the 5b weave going circular with 4b windmills inbetween turns is a smooooth move!

yeah, 3/4 beat windmills are equivalent to 4/5 beat weaves. To get 5/6 beat windmills would be the same as 6/7 beat weaves (which are possible but painfull and not particuarly smooth).have a go.... (ouch)Jo.

Question, If i can do a windmill and go into what I believe is a 5 beat mindmill why wouldn't it be a 5 beat windmill, if my wrist are doing the same thing as they would in a 5 beat weave but going back to front over my head not side to side? I'm just curious.I know you aren't attacking me, just explaining.------------------If you don't want to be an addict, don't ever start spinning.

hey man, i know why your asking this, because i asked it too, but the truth is your wrists are doing slightly different things to when youre doing a 5b by your sides. try it now without poi and youll see what i mean: doing a 5b at your sides - your wrists can wrap around each other easily, when you go to your left side, your left arm can go over your right arm, you can lift your left elbow up higher to make it easier. doing a 5b over your head - your arm movements are limited because of where they are and your left arm has much more trouble wrapping round the right than before. this limits you to doing a normal "3-beat-style" twist behind your head, but in front you can do a "5-beat-style" wristmove.add up the actual turns of the poi, youll see that both poi are going infront of your head twice, and behind your head twice too.dont forget, the windmill is originally a 2beat move, each poi goes each side of the head once, so adding an extra beat to each side, brings it up to 4.with the weave, youre starting with 3beats, so adding an extra one to each side, makes 5 beats.hope this helps. smile-------------------------------------------(ps. just to discredit everything i've just said grin, and to make clear how unimportant naming things correctly is, the "4beat windmill" is actually a "4beat-over-the-head-weave".sorry but its true.weaves are in split time.windmill is IN time. 4beat windmill is in split. oh well. blueskies a callin'happy poiingbobrob

Hey, look at some of our old threads. There's some pretty crazy idea's and moves in there. Most of the stuff discussed now is pretty tame.

I may be missreading you(which I normally do) But to clear things up, I was saying what a retard I sounded like not knowing what a four beat windmill was. That's all.
