I started spinning poi a number of years back, and once I decided I wanted to perform I took up staff and fire eating. I love them all, but poi will probably always be my biggest passion.
Hey everyone, so I've been spinning poi for about 4 years and am looking to get into performing. I want something other than just spinning going for me, and want to combine it with nor...

24th January, 2019 Bouncy "This is a weird staff. For contact, it's terrible. It flexes which means it bounces, so rolling it on your body is far more difficult since if it's not done close to perfectly it will reverberate and ruin it. Good for teaching good form I guess, but not great for performance, which isn't a good quality for an LED staff. It's lots of fun to spin though. The weight is good, it doesn't hurt to hit yourself, and the springyness is actually fun when straight spinning instead of contact. The sticky rubber that helps with contact winds up jamming in clothing very easily though, and can ruin a good flow in an instant. The lights look great though, and for lack of any comparable staff at that price it's what I'll use until I can afford a much better one." Fletcher, Canada. 16th October, 2018 Not bad for a collapsible "I've owned the fusion LED staff and the fusion contact fire staff for a while now. The LED ends had major problems that were compensated for by the manufacturer, but it was still a bummer when they started falling apart. The fire contact staff has been great, although it's pretty heavy and should have the weight more distributed at the ends. But that's just me. As for the middle piece, this is my second one as I got more into contact staff and realized how much easier it would be with a grippy middle section as opposed to the hard rubber one that comes with the LED version. It works great, but be aware to treat the staff with care when assembling, because I started catching the edge of the rubber near the mid grip, which made it harder and harder to put together." 29th May, 2018 Second Set "My original staff heads started wearing through at the button, and eventually the rubber gave up and the light unit was free to hurl out of the staff given enough force. Now I mostly try to avoid pressing the button through the rubber and instead just take it out. Not a great design, but if you have the staff you really don't have a choice." Fletcher, Canada. 29th May, 2018 Bang On "These staff covers were exactly what I expected. The only drawback in that they slightly change the weight of the staff, so with contact moves especially it changed the dynamics a bit. Otherwise, great protection and fuzzy. Thumbs up." 13th October, 2017 2 Duds "After about 2 months of relatively light use, the blue LED stopped working in one of the units. They were quick to send me a new one after I showed a video of the malfunction, which is great, but while waiting for it to show up, the red LED of the other unit stopped working. It's likely that it was a bad batch of lights, because they are supposedly very durable, but still an inconvenience for me. On top of that, the button is very hard to press through the rubber end, which is frustrating." Fletcher, Canada. [Verified Buyer] GOLD Member since May 2013

10th August, 2017 Great Collapsible "This was my first staff I've bought, having only used a home made staff out of wooden dowel. This one is way better. Jokes aside, it seems really good but it's tough to compare. It's fairly light, seems balanced nicely, and the light display options are pretty damn cool. Very lightsaberish. No complaints, but again, nothing to compare to." Fletcher, Canada. [Verified Buyer] GOLD Member since May 2013
