Hi all... I am a complete newbie to poi, fire twirling and anything/everything related. In fact, I'll only even see it in real life for the 1st time next Friday (making it down to the Moon Fest on north side of Brissie).

Anyway, this is me...

Name: Pat... but Pogo to those that know me well.

Location: Logan City, south of Brisbane, QLD, Oz.

Hometown: As above.

DOB: 17/09/1969

Age: 36 and counting...

Sex: Wouldn't that be nice?

Occupation(s): Computer Programmer. Worked for myself from home for 2 1/2 years, but have recently had to get a "real" job.

Favorite Food(s): Hmmm... pretty much anything, really.

Favorite Color(s): Green

Toys: Acoustic guitar, Classical guitar, 3 electric guitars, 2 djembes.

Hobbies other than the obvious: Music, Reading, Keeping fit (hmmm, not so much of the keeping fit, actually)

Education: Did Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and Pure Maths. Then Grad Dip Appl Computing... then started a research masters, but gave it away when life got in the way.

Favorite Book(s): Have to get back to you on that one... The Anarchist was the last book I read, quite liked it.

Favorite Movie(s): Lots... Fight Club, Snatch, Lock Stock..., Finding Nemo, Pulp Fiction, Pay It Forward...

Favorite TV show(s): Don't watch tv.

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) I really... wish... I knew.

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Lately... Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson, JBT, Blue King Brown, Donavon Frankeneiter, Rob Sawyer, The Waifs... blues/roots stuff.

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Vanilla.

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? (please choose one...this is important as it is essentially this site's equivalent of stating your religion...we have religious wars, crusades, cathedrals to Nutella, all that.)

Definitely... vegemite.

hehehe... I tried twice last night to post in reply to all these lovely birthday greetings... and both times, I got

nearly to the end and my pc rebooted itself... so I gave up

let's try again...

rebekah: I don't like being a pillion on a bike, don't feel comfortable... but I ubblove riding... nothing like waking up early in the morning and arriving home 8hrs and 800klms later... biggrin 37x is absolutely fabulous, thanks... hug

gidg: I imagine you're talking about a whole different kinda bad weather than we generally get here in beautiful

brissie... tongue but... I ubblove riding in the rain... I reckon it feels great... my short get away was great, thank

you... hug

rave: I know your recent bday wasn't your finest, but I gotta say... mine rocked... your turn next time, I reckon

fireboy: thx m8... I did indeed have a great day

birgit: they are very warm greetings indeed (cheated on google translator, hope it worked tongue)... hug

rougie: hehehe... nope, no danger of that this time... I never really got to sleep... laid down at about 4am after cos I was absolutely f.f.f.f.freezing and shnuggled into my sleeping bag... but the doof doof was still doofing and my head was still buzzing, so I just laid there till the sun came up... I so wanted to return the favour and msg u @ 3am

yesterday morning to ask you to post on the "I'm not drunk" thread, but I had no range till I headed back to

civilisation... hug2

gabe: we did indeed meet briefly in passing one moonfest, but otherwise we've always managed to miss each other... nah, couldn't do the 3worlds comp... I spent the rest of the afternoon/evening with the kids... thx for the bday well wishes... hug

flyntie: I did indeed have a cake on my head... don't worry... it's gone now... had some most awesome cake saturday/sunday actually... chocolate cake, choc brownies and ginger cake... mmm, mmmmm... all so yum, all homemade and all vegan (never knew cake could be so good without eggs) hug

kristy: thx so much... hug

tony: it was HUGE fun... best birthday in years, without doubt... after that soccer game... frisbee game... spinning... doofing... I am *trashed*... my legs are absolutely *caning*... but I'd do it again tomorrow... beerchug

gita: thx you...! a wonderful day I had... hug how did I know you'd be asking that question? to be honest, I'll see how I go I think... still very tired and I'm working from home today, so southbank isn't on the way home from work like it usually is

lou: thank you hug mmm, I did for a few weeks, but now I'm on a run of missed attendances... tongue

paul: ubblol it is indeed, a streak of white... and it's been there since I was 2, so old age can't explain it... thx, I had a supa day off... hug

phew... made it to the end... I think... ahhh... a great day/night/morning it was... now everybody come here for a second....

hehehe... dreams? you know I *never* remember my dreams... however... I *do* have vague recollections of a dream from last night, maybe because I slept for so long for a change? all I can remember though is being in a shopping centre... I wanted to go to k-mart to buy a bubble-making wand (it makes these huge bubbles - very cool)... and I was wandering around in k-mart, but the store was quite clearly closed... no-one there but me... very odd

by the sound of it, I'm not remembering the good bits though... biggrin tongue

No wonder you are dreaming about bubbles! Those ones were awesome! Besides dreams in empty stores are awesome because you can play with/eat whatever you want hehe

very, very true... I'm still on the hunt for the elusive bubble-maker... I really did try in my local k-mart but no luck... maybe that's what the dream was about? scarred from my luckless shopping trip into bogan city k-mart...? I should try track down a toyworld on the way home from work...

as for the good side of the empty store dream... that never happened either!! I just remember being disoriented and confused... bit like real life really...

Bubbles correspond with the element of air, which is the element of the intellect; the mind, ya' know. It also has to do with flight; Astral travel! What did I tell you!

I'm hurt that you don't remember!

On a serious bit...are you perhaps having concerns about something having to do with the intellect or someones mental state? (not going cuckoo, are you?)

Maybe one of your kids having trouble in school, some new project at work that you're concerned about.

I'm not trying to pry but if you were feeling confusion in your dream, it seems to indicated confusion over something in your everyday life.

PM me if you like and maybe I can help you figure it out.
