"These are my third pair of Poi and my favorite. They're heavy so they require minimal movement to keep them going once they get started. They burn for longer than I had expected and the flames are quite large. They do hurt when they hit though so being careful is nessesary."

I still have to get used to the added weight over my old square-headed ones I've wonked myself in the head a few times and man does it hurt! I even gave myself a nice black eye. But no one ever said playing with fire (or Monkey Fists) was painless. Pretty soon I'll be spinning these bad boys with impunity and lighting up the night sky for all to see. It's been a few months since I purchased this set and I am looking forward to an even heavier pair of poi heads but these are easily the perfect set for any spinner. The chains are rock solid thanks to individual link welding all components have lasting durability and the heads themselves have been burned 50+ times with minimal visible wear to the fabric.
