I love these BUT....
"These poi are wonderful after using the ones that have the button batteries, so I welcome the USB chargers with open arms. One thing to note about them is they do only have 30 to 40 minutes of run time, but they charge very quickly (like about 15 minutes will give a full charge), which is more than enough run time for me. However, I am not giving this product 5 stars because I do not appreciate the handle change. On my previous pair, there were two slots for your fingers whereas this product only has one. Thanks to this, I received big blisters on both sides of my middle fingers (four altogether) and now I have to go buy gloves to protect my hands from further damage. Other than that, very simple to use and I can't wait to perform with them!"

Led juggling ball set
"Love my ball set! I have been using them constantly. Its my new favorite hobby! Seriously enjoying this product but had one small issue with one of the threads becoming damaged on one of the balls, resulting in a loose housing and inconsistent performance. Now when tightening the cap it continues to spin until its released again, resulting in dull glow or total inability to keep powered."

So awesome, but a bit misleading....
"I ordered 2 sets of the silk scarf poi and I am really into them. They're very well made and move smoothly through the air. My only critiques would be the lack of adjustability in the cord length. Also the silk flag is either not actually made of silk, or it is a really low-quality, rough silk. It honestly feels more like polyester.... I was a bit disappointed by that as I wanted to tie-dye the white set and polyester is not dye-able. But, on the positive side, I do really enjoy the way they move through the air. I took them to the nude beach on their maiden voyage and taught a few friends some poi-spinning basics."

Handles impossible to change
"The handles are nearly impossible to change yourself. You will also need a needle nose pliers to pull the nylon back through. Tried for 2 hours without a pliers and only got 1 through, gave up and drove to town for a pliers and got the other one. I guess at least I own pliers now."

Good starter poi with very short battery life
"This is my first set of LED poi. They are nice and bright as well as nicely weighted. They are also soft enough to not hurt much when you smack yourself. The silicone casing ball has been quite durable over the last month as well. The only real downside is short battery life. The rechargeable batteries last about 30 minutes. It may be worth upgrading to a slightly more expensive LED poi ball and not worrying as much about battery life. The issue is fairly easy to fix, though, and I did so by replacing the stock battery with a 3.7V, 180mAh unit. This was the largest capacity battery I could solder in that would still fit into the plastic light casing and led to a battery life of a bit over 1.5 hours."

Hollow torches for vapor tricks with great handles
"At first when I got these, I was really confused/concerned because the spinning knobs don't have an obvious hole. I thought I would have to take them off entirely when I performed in order to do vapor pulls and other hollow torch tricks. I was disappointed, but also figured that since I only paid $30 for a set of hollow torches, I had gotten my money's worth. BUT THEN! I discovered that the ends of the knobs pull off to reveal the hollow insides, while still having a great grip for club style torch tech. Basically, these torches have the best grips on the market! HoP should advertise that feature more it's amazing. To open the knob, pinch on the sides near the top and the cap will begin to pull off. My only complaint is that the wicks are pretty fat as well as long, making them harder to fit comfortably in my mouth, and increasing burn risk. I may unwrap them and remove a layer of kevlar if this is a persistent issue. THANKS HOME OF POI! Dark Monk can suck it!"

I have to be honest and say that I was a little disappointed with how heavy it was, and how long it took to go into its proper shape. Having said that, the customer service from the company is fantastic, the LEDs are *amazing*, seriously bright and a whole bunch of options. For the price, it s very very good, but it s not a performance level prop. It s quite rigid, and there is quite a lot of rattle in the hoop, which rules it out for stage performances (for me). If you just want a funky toy to play with at parties and festivals, this will do the job nicely, and you can rest safe in the knowledge that any problems or issues will be dealt with swiftly by HoP staff."

"I d wanted an LED levistick for a long time but held off as most of the wands out there are quite expensive, but when I saw this one on HoP I decided to go for it as it was such a reasonable price. I m really glad that I did! It s just what I wanted. It s well balanced and feels and looks beautiful to play with. I love that it s programmable so you can change the light colours and modes. Actually programming the light sequences took a little while to get my head around but it pays off to have so much choice and variety. Replacing the batteries is a little fiddly with a few small parts that could easily go walk about, so I d recommend not doing it when you are in a rush but all in all this is a lovely piece of flow equipment."
