Okay folks time to inspire my culinary pallet. Now I'm a bachelor, but I love to cook (my lady friends all tell me the woman I marry will be extremely lucky because I love to cook so much) and because I love to cook I like to try new things and because I'm a bachelor I can try things that might be... odd to others. So what is the best meal you ever had? Or what is your favorite meal to cook. I have a really awesome international market not too far from where I live so you crazy non-Americans tongue2 wink can suggest just about anything and I can find it.

So please tell me what you love, point me to recipes what have you and I will greatly appreciate it.

Also it is fun to talk over food, and talk about food. So lets talk about food. Food and fire have stuff in common right? wink

ermm... lessee...

A: Haggis (don't have it often, but is yum)

Not had this specific variation, but this general theme of dish is awesome too https://onceuponathyme.wordpress.com/2009/01/17/parma-ham-wrapped-chicken-stuffed-with-goats-cheese/

I'd be able to give you a metric ton of italian recipes that my Dad has always excelled at... but I'm kinda a loooonnnng way away from that specific recipe book

Yeah just because I have an international market near me doesn't mean I want anything metric tongue2 hehehe sorry being silly... That does look quite yummy and like the precise measurement of "1 glug of olive oil" hehe I'm not personally fond of sweet potatoes, but that does sound like a very good meal... all joking aside, thank you for sharing it smile

Chateau Briand in the Grasshopper in Amsterdam probably - the meat was Soooo good.

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

In Germany at a beer garden I had the best plate of delicious meat to ever... you know what? I'm not finishing that sentence tongue2

I huge plate of Schweinehaxen with a portion that had every layer of skin and fat down to the meat cooked and left on the meat and cut into squares (except the bottom part attaching it to the meat). Alson with a bunch of Sauerkraut, a big fat Knoedel, and a big ice cold mug of freshly brewed beer. The meat just melted in my mouth and I just wanted to shout "OH MY GOD!" and other various noises laugh3

Also look up Spaghettieis. It is insane o0

I made a very passable hamburger last night.

Mince with a teaspoon or so of Marmite, a glug of Worcestershire Sauce, chilli powder, mixed herbs (origanum, basil and thyme) and an egg to aid the binding.

Served on fresh rolls with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and cheese.

Also, kudu and warthog potjie. wink
