I have only been atempting poi for a few days but practice at every oportunity although I am finding it so frustrating but very fun.
I have wanted to try for ages and have got the hang of the swing and even the begginer butterfly but im getting alot of bruises when trying to turn. Can anyone help I just cant seem to grasp it arrrrgggghhhhh.

There's a few things that can help on here...

The best bit of advice I can give is to try to spin slowly and remember that if you think you are going to hit yourself to hold your arm away from your body (your poi should ideally be short enough to not hit you when you do this).
