Is there not a rivalry between them? any petty competitive indifferences? if so, i haven't seen evidence of it. Some people are either one or the other, whilst others are open to both.

Between staff and poi?
I've no idea what you're talking about and neither does Coleman

staff....poi....juggling....unicycling
sorry unicycling wins hands down.
rivalry in my own head drives me nuts.... its nice to have skills all round. some thing for every occasion, every state of mind, or some thing that you just damn well want to learn with some thing.

Posted: as far as i've seen poi and staff spinners tend to get on pretty damn well. i think generally if you get good at one of these toys, you will end up having a go at the other at some point too. not that i want to play with sticks or anything.
poi spinners sometimes get frowned upon by grumpy jugglers that are having trouble learning a 7333.
as far as i can tell its the whole 'poi is a crap version of clubswinging' thing that is the source of their gripes. its completely unfounded and is the one thing that disappoints me about a community that i've otherwise felt very at home in.
