I'm in Los Angeles! Why? Well, to pick up some coolers for our Burning Man camp and to pick up a microwave, a toaster oven, and three (there should have been four!) boxes of books.
And because I can now. I can just hop in my car and go to LA for the weekend. Just...because it's there. A mere 300 miles away from where I live. Five hour drive. Hour on a plane. No time...
And it's fun here. And I love the drama and the sparkling architecture and the palm trees and the hot guys and the clubs and the parties...
It's so...L.A.It's an amazing place to visit! Who else on HoP is in LA now?

I didn't get to see much of the U.S. on my long-ago only trip O/S, but LA was the one place I can quite happily never see again (all due respect to those that know and love it).san francisco on the other hand, was the one place in which I decided, I could live.

LA is great! It's sunny, sparkly, shiny, delightfully fake, and glamorous.
And for 2-3 days, it's a fantastic place to visit. But I would never want to live there.
Give me my City by the Bay with steep hills, sparkling water, looming fog banks, azure sky, and the most amazing people you'll ever meet all in one place.
