Hi all... I am a complete newbie to poi, fire twirling and anything/everything related. In fact, I'll only even see it in real life for the 1st time next Friday (making it down to the Moon Fest on north side of Brissie).

Anyway, this is me...

Name: Pat... but Pogo to those that know me well.

Location: Logan City, south of Brisbane, QLD, Oz.

Hometown: As above.

DOB: 17/09/1969

Age: 36 and counting...

Sex: Wouldn't that be nice?

Occupation(s): Computer Programmer. Worked for myself from home for 2 1/2 years, but have recently had to get a "real" job.

Favorite Food(s): Hmmm... pretty much anything, really.

Favorite Color(s): Green

Toys: Acoustic guitar, Classical guitar, 3 electric guitars, 2 djembes.

Hobbies other than the obvious: Music, Reading, Keeping fit (hmmm, not so much of the keeping fit, actually)

Education: Did Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and Pure Maths. Then Grad Dip Appl Computing... then started a research masters, but gave it away when life got in the way.

Favorite Book(s): Have to get back to you on that one... The Anarchist was the last book I read, quite liked it.

Favorite Movie(s): Lots... Fight Club, Snatch, Lock Stock..., Finding Nemo, Pulp Fiction, Pay It Forward...

Favorite TV show(s): Don't watch tv.

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) I really... wish... I knew.

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Lately... Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson, JBT, Blue King Brown, Donavon Frankeneiter, Rob Sawyer, The Waifs... blues/roots stuff.

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Vanilla.

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? (please choose one...this is important as it is essentially this site's equivalent of stating your religion...we have religious wars, crusades, cathedrals to Nutella, all that.)

Definitely... vegemite.

The Hoff... man he is SUCH a cock. He's been blundering around the uk recently being so weird and vague... a chemical coch would be be kindest thing...

as for 80's karaoke... it's difficult even to decide what ther worst song is... I reckon 'i think we're alone now' by tiffany wins.

Life is a journey ... not a guided tour.

In Germany we've had quite some impressive masterpieces of modern music, which went like
"Brother Louie, Louie, Louie" (Birgit is probably gonna smack me now) or "Da Da Da I Don't Love You You Don't Love Me Aha Aha Aha". I'd nominate both of them

Fortunately I missed the first Modern Talking Hype, but still... *smack!! (as gently and lovingly as possible when having an image of Dieter Bohlen in front of my eyes)*

Da Da Da I don't mind too much...

I find it more disturbing when people take GOOD songs and slaughter them. But then the 80s didn't have that many good songs wink

b) I need more programming
c) I'm just really crap at remembering anything

Actually, if your reasoning is what I think it is, then I'd actually need to be born in the late 40s/early 50s! Otherwise I'd just have been one of those nekkid kids running around at Woodstock!

Wait! That could have been fun too!

whaddaya do/say when you haven't got a clue what a girl's talking about, but you're pretty sure, you're supposed to know?

smile charmingly, mumble something incomprehensible that might sound a little bit like "yes" and then continue with "but what I've always been wondering about ..." or "what is also interesting is ..."

Not really supposed to know. Guess the bridge was symbolic for me. Dreams darlin.' To be specific...We were sitting on the edge of a footbridge.
Bridges usually signify moving from one stage of life to another. Just thought it was kind of strange that something that is symbolic and a tool that I use when I do my shamamic journeys was in a dream of the sort that that one was. Especially with someone that I've never seen other than a in a picture. Makes me even more curious considering I can still hear your voice, also!

I'm a strange bird...but I do love to fly!!!
