ok, so after getting some help from malcolm iwas able to view users by rego number instead of name. which is does by entering [Old link] but change the last four numbers for the rego you want to view.
anyway, the original reason i did this was because i wanted to say hi to the users either side of me, and point out the fact we are neighbours, only to find out once i'd found them that one no longer existed and the other has never made a post (since 2004).
i was very dissapointed
so i keep looking further away from my number to see how long it took to find someone that was at least semi regular, what i found was a tad surprising to me.there were very few members that were actually active, and almost all of them registered between 12am and 9am, is this a case of people getting so bored they just sign up to whatever forum looks interesting but then fall asleep and forget it? if so then the membership count for HoP would appear to be somewhat innacturate (if you consider it to be an accurate representation of USERS, not members).
just thought i'd point this out to everyone

Ummmm....nah....I know who's left from way back then, they're on the porch in the rockers next to me! lol
The number reflects those who are registered, including those who purchase from the store regardless of whether or not they post on the bb.

Its been commented onbefore about most people not being active.
Preplexingly 1640 is me, i wonder if i bought something from the store? I had no idea that I was registered on here a third time (I have a second profile, "travelling kyri" that i had to make up at one point cos i forgot my password....)
1642 is indeed barren, as is 1643, and 1639 posted thrice... some people in the 1500's post tho i think i remember...

so pele, are you saying that HoP has lots of sales between 12 and 9am, when people get so bored they find cool toys on the net and just buy them?
