I cant be the only one. It seems like everyone and their dog can mix now.

So then who are you and what do you play?
Who inspires you to keep spinning?
and the wonderful (but now standard) Vinyl, CD, MP3 or other question?

Yep I mix, mostly psy/goa and a bit of ambient. All i really want to do is to expose as many people as possible to this mind bending music, and DJing is the best way to do it. I don't have a lot of creativity so producing is too hard (though I'd like to get good at it!), which is why i enjoy DJing because it relies on talent, not creativity. I never seem to get sick of spinning because there's always newer, more intense, more tripped out psy that keeps getting released.

I think you're wrong about dogs spinning :P. Dogs have no musical talent at all. I think you'd have a lot more luck training a budgie. Have you ever noticed that they will head bang to trance/techno if they like it? And they can already whistle. Heh, they probably have a better sense of rhythm than any feeble human DJ.

I sometimes play psy... Not much really coz I don't have much opportunities and it's so much fun spinning to music than playing it.. But sometimes when I'm needed I play..: )

Smile.. It confuses people..:)

likewise i've started trying to mix psytrance and ambient mp3's for fun lately although i wouldn't call myself a dj. i think with a lot of dance music you get more out of it when you start thinking about how tunes work from a DJ's perspective... smile

I'll have to ask Hugo (cant remember what his login name is on here) if I can pass on some of his really twisted filtered psy trance. I think you'd like all like it.

He likes bizzarre samples. He's even made a tune out of the sound of peeling tape off a table confused
