So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

(Actually I am pretty sure that is how we got onto your photos as a topic!)

Now that I have a brilliant job in the mines and am roping in the money it may actually be viable on one of my weeks off to fly your way!

Any chance of a bed?

Dave: I wish! Not even close though. 1 body, 3 lenses, and flash, with misc gear so far. I found this:

https://www.mackstyle.net/minitrekker.mov

This guy basically has 3 bodies, 2 of them top of the line ones (i.e. more than AUD7000 per piece), not to mention a $10,000 lens, and a ridiculous quantity of other lenses- all fit into a tiny bag. He's rough as heck with all his gear too.. breaks my heart ubbcrying..

I'll need approximately AUD30,000 more to get to where he's at.. and he's still not using a skateboard! ubblol

Fi: Roping in the money! ubblol I wish I could say I was roping in money, but I'm soo not. shrug How's the job going? Brilliant?

But yes! Do come! A moonfest would be cool too. Make sure it includes a weekend too! I'm working weekdays (get up at 6am, come back at 6.30pm) and would be terrible not to be able to catch you if you actually did come round this way.

Yes totally! You can crash here anytime! biggrin

Something totally rubbish just happened.

See.. today I bought the most wonderful blue/light blue tie-dye fisherman pants, and a really nice dark teal head band thing..

Went to watch a movie (Superman.. which I quite enjoyed, in a zone out/soppy lovey theme kinda way), and came back noticing I had blue dye on my fingers.

Thought it was the headband because I was kind of adjusting it a bit, and decided to put it and the pants in the washing machine.

The headband thing is now dead as dead can be. Looks like a dog chewed through it.

In retrospect, it probably just was the pants and not the headband which was had running colour. It was all for nothing! And the shop I bought the head band from- don't think it had that colour anymore, and I don't think I'll be able to make it round there again til next weekend because of work anyway..

I really liked it.. ubbcrying

I'm such an eejit!! mad2

In Maine, they have lots of signs that say "no puffin, please" instead of "No smoking." I bet I could find one...

No, no, no, it's holding it in its wing! That's what birds have instead of hands, they have wings. Including puffins. Because puffins are birds.

heya Ry! Been wondering whats up with you, I've been travelling and haven't popped in for a while! You have been working? not much posting?Puffins? Punning? What a state of affairs... lol

Your deer ate my garden. Bad. Painting them this week...

Me, very stressed. My crazy family is finally getting around to a funeral service for my Dad, and it is sort of a complicated nightmare whenever you get them all at one place at one time. Considering there are also four other memorials the same week I think I am in some serious trouble.I said I would go, so I have to. I thought the trip in the UK would just float me on a high right through it, but alas, not so. Currently paniking. Suggestions?I am trying to find someone stupid enough to go with me . Someone large and spiky and safe. No candidates so far though. Ah well, sorry to moan. I will probably live.

All else is lovely here, a heat wave, 37 degrees, and I love it! Swimming in the ocean, all the berries are ripe, flowers blooming, packs of evil deer roaming... home.
