Summer Location: Queen Victoria gardens.
The aim is not for a solely firetwirling night, but a night whereby firetwirlers, jugglers, contact jugglers, diabolo etc can meet. So feel free to bring friends who may be interested.
Night starts at 6pm for all those who are keen to learn. Fire starts after dark 7.00 - 8ish till late!
So.... the location is Queen Victoria Gardens
St. Kilda Road – opposite 'National Gallery of VIC' (Old Arts Gallery with spire)
The grassed area near the three raised palm trees. (Look out for the bronze statue hammer thrower)
With only a 5 minute walk over the princess bridge from Flinders Street station.

Hey everyone,
I had a feeling someone who turned up regularly to sunday twirling (but hasn't been there in the last 3 weeks) owned a set of strobe juggleart glow poi.
Im doing a sync routine for a show next month and own one set, but it would be great if i could borrow another exactly the same for that night.
Does anyone know who owned those poi?? or anyone who does??

I'm very new to twirling - as in I have been trying to teach myself off of the internet! I would really like to come to the meetup and hopefully learn something as well as possibly provide entertainment at how bad I am?
This thread is so long that I've lost track of whether people are currently meeting on Sundays or not?
Could someone let me know?

People are definately meeting up, each Sunday night. It starts about 6.30, picks up about 7ish and so on.
Don't worry about being a beginner, I picked up a staff for the first time today and I'm remembering how much I hit myself with other toys. Hope to see you there!

Sundays can fluctuate in terms of size. Two weeks ago there were roughly a dozen, last week it was a mere 4-5
We tend to gauge how big the meet will be each sunday by the yay or nay of people going which is expressed in this thread almost weekly. You can expect attendance to pick up as it moves to spring and summer
At the moment because it is winter, the sunday meets are under the swanston/st kilda road bridge in Southbank, which is not far from alexandra gardens Basically from flinders street station, walk over the bridge to the southbank side, turn right and head down the stairs
Once daylight savings kicks in once more, it will move back to Alexandra gardens near the 3 palm trees weather pending
