Is "bollocks" considered a swear word?

Or is it sort of like "darn"?

Um,
it sort of depends:
"Bollox!" as an exclaimation means something along the same lines as damn or darn

"Thats a load of bollox! " means something is untrue or useless

"Ow! the bloody poi just hit me in the bollox! URGH!! " here it means nads or testes, ouchy

"Thats the dogs bollox man! " Here its meaning is essentially reversed- ie. having someone say that your new stereo/car/camera is the dogs bollox is a good thing
and you should not give them a clip around the earhole...
