Cool but not ideal for beginners
"I'm something of a beginner spinner and I got these as my first LED poi but I've had some mixed emotions about 'em. While flowlights will stand up to low-intensity impacts I found some small cracks after my first few hours of use. After a few more hours I had broken off the butt end of one of them. To Flowtoys' credit I was able to glue the end back on and the unit still works like a charm. Lord knows I tried to be careful but beginners REALLY need to order the crystal cases. The cases protect the flowlights and give these slightly-too-lightweight lights a much needed weight increase. Though the crystal cases can soften the blows from these flowlights it also puts more weight behind them so they still hurt quite a bit when you take a hit. I kinda like that they take AAA batteries but they suck 'em down a little faster than I'd heard they did. Dimming/erratic button behavior will occur when the batteries get low. Overall flowlights are good but aren't built for newbies."
