"These fans are great! Although they may not be a sturdy or fancy as some of the more expensive brands of fans, these are great for beginners. They have withstood a decent amount of throws and drops. The frame gets a little bent, but never so much so that it cant be bent back into shape. My one complaint is that there was not enough kevlar thread to truly secure the wicks well, and I therefore had to go out and buy more of my own."

"Good amount of kevlar thread to do all 10 precut wicks. I recommend not doing them all in one go-kevlar is tough. Fingers will cramp, but it's well worth the discount to DIY!! Came with one curved needle. White paint is solid, not thin or patchy. Shows up well in dim light. Already dropped, no damage yet. Well weighted with the wicks on. Looking forward to performing with these lit. Poi skills translate straight into tech fans but a lot of the higher stuff doesn't because palm direction matters more than anything. The open handle is great for spins. The size is great, large enough to hold ALL THE FIRE, but not hit yourself too easily. So much fire... Thanks for the great fast shipping to NC, USA!"

"I have bought 4 sets of HOP fire fans in my life. Yes, they're cheap fans but they are unbalanced, and Everytime I order them they come bowed to the point where I can't even submit a photo of the damages because it's more of a feel then a problem you can see. They're packaged not in a box with their fragile frames and weak metal, but in bubble wrap and plastic, which obviously isn't strong enough because my two pairs of lotus fans and my two sets of spider web fans came bowed. As a serious performer I don't buy fans to have them past me a few months. The fans came with the smallest amount of Kevlar thread, I had to go buy more. One time I bought a pair that was even missing a wick! I've performed with these fans from the beginning so I don't like ragging on them, but now that I've spent some time with some other brands of fans, I suggest that you go with another company."

In store we use around 4 meters in total for two fans. In the spool we include 10m which is more then double that is required as shown in our tutorial video. "

"For the most part I am so happy with these! The design is amazing, balance and weight is really ideal and everything seems really high quality so far, the spider fans are a joy to spin. The value is also amazing and I feel a little more connected to my fans after stitching the wicks on myself. However, one of the needles was broken when I received it and there wasn't enough thread in the kit to stitch everything as thoroughly as I would have liked so I would suggest HoP to include at least another meter of thread on the spool :)"
