The linking piece that allow a rotation of the ball with the chain makes me feel a little weird in the control but it's interesting. It is just a matter of time to be used to. I haven't burn it yet but I'm sure i won't be disappointed. Excellent !"

Oval Twist Weka fire poi thoughts.
"They soak up a lot of oil to burn a long time. I am very happy with the quality of the Oval Twist Weka poi. They are a good balanced weight for me. Not to light where I'm flailing around like a chicken but not to heavy where I couldn't control them. Balanced. I also use them to spit fire with as part of my shows and they stayed lite while being twirled. That says a lot. I really enjoy them and they got here 2 weeks before my show instead of a week. Which makes it even better. I had time to practice and enjoy them. Thank you."

"My order arrived quickly and was all in good condition - I was playing within minutes. The monkey fists are tight and the links and chains all seem strong. It seemed a little on the light side at first but with more use they soak up more paraffin making them a bit heavier. The handles are good leather and the whole unit spins well"

With loads of tricks in our repertoire the wicks out last them all! I reccomend this toy to anyone - I even prefer it to the longer staff as the tricks with this one are more varied and technical - maybe not for beginners but definaltey a great tool for your arsenal! Chains are sweet!
"These have such a good feel when you're spinning these. I got the single loop leather handles which after some creative handle-grasping became the most comfortable things. The way the weight works is strange but still good is how the chains weigh more than the actual poi heads- the only poi that I've spun that do that. I can't wait to get some kerosene and light these puppies up."

It should be noted that there are no quick links or swivels on the poi end of the chains. You could modify this on your own very inexpensively but as is these poi aren't made for advanced moves or for any kind of chain wraps (hyperloops etc.). All that aside these are high quality poi as expected from HOP. A good set to Frankenstein into other sets once you advance in skill!"

"This is by far the best set of fire poi i have ever come across. The weight is perfect especially for doing isolations and compound circles. The brightness and size of the flames that the monkey fist balls produce is absolutely amazing. Even when I'm not performing i still find myself using this poi without flame during the day they just feel so perfect! Never have i seen such rugged construction I can finally do tangles and hyper loops without having to worry about the chains breaking or the wicks flying off the end. The leather straps are surprisingly comfortable to spin with yet they're extremely durable. I've used many different types of fire poi in the past and these are most certainly the best i've ever used. Worth every penny!"

"This set of poi is huge It will take me a long time to get used to them since i had the 2.5 inch monkey fists before. Huge flame long burn time the only thing i would change about this set is the flimsy fingerloops. The poi are a little too heavy for them I think. But still 5 out of 5 stars!"
