Oval Twist Weka fire poi thoughts.
"They soak up a lot of oil to burn a long time. I am very happy with the quality of the Oval Twist Weka poi. They are a good balanced weight for me. Not to light where I'm flailing around like a chicken but not to heavy where I couldn't control them. Balanced. I also use them to spit fire with as part of my shows and they stayed lite while being twirled. That says a lot. I really enjoy them and they got here 2 weeks before my show instead of a week. Which makes it even better. I had time to practice and enjoy them. Thank you."

"The handling is really amazing. They are heavier than sock poi but it's easy to get used to them. I never had swivels before they really make a difference! When I do a Three Beat Weave it sounds like streaming water as the swivels do their job. Really cool."

A fine product indeed
"The construction is solid and in short it gets the job done. The material in the middle is pleasant and gripping for the hands. It's a nice beginners staff: for never having used a staff before it offers all I need to learn how to move with a fire staff. My sole minor complaint is purely aesthetic: the glitter stickers to the sides of the leather are an unnecessary eyesore but this is nothing that can't be covered up. I've lit it up a few times and the wicks produce a nice consistent flame. Overall I'm very pleased!"

"The pro series chains are the most ingenius design for any chain that is used with fire poi having the two swivels at each end of one chain helps keep the spin in certain wraps as well as the oval twist chain doesn't get tangled up and less clunky steel everywhere helps from hurting when doing wrist wraps. "These realy are top they have a much longer burn time and a realy nice round flame. But they are realy heavey and may take some getting used to they are also pretty tough on the arms but i would reccomend them to anyone as long as your not scared to spend a little while letting your arms get used to the extra weight. As with all the HOP poi there realy well made and look like theyll last a good while so a good bet for anyone performing"

Best I've found so far...
"This is my second set of fire poi and I was very pleased with the construction and slick appearance (on fire and off) of the monkey fist knots. Only minor nitpick would be the leather grips which have a Home of Poi tag sewn between the loops that I don't much like because I'm not big on branding. When I cut off the tags the loops make a squeeky sound when swinging the poi but it's not severe. Also not the highest grade leather I've ever seen but plenty good for the job."
