Hello,
I'm new to the forums, but not the world of poi. I've been doing poi on and off for close to 10 years. Recently I lost my job, so I've been doing it a lot more(keeps me positive & happy). Now that I have more time, I thought I'd see if there are anyone out there in the internet, that want to spin, and generally have silly, quirky fun.
My favorite things to do are: express myself through the geometry and flowing patterns that poi commands, from me. In my experience, it's certainly a gift to be able to do poi, and to be alive, for that matter. So I guess with out further a due; I'd like to invite comments, or info on any meet ups or community practice/gatherings.
Very interested in anyone in my area that wants to hang out and chat. Like minds are indeed welcome!

HI.....I was New But A Little Rusty....I learned poi as strings as a rave promoter in Denver about 10 years ago. I completely understand about poi as therapy type of thing. I was squeezing in a day a week or two maybe because I was working 6 days over 50 hours. Now, I have pleurisy and I'm doing it as physical therapy (no longer just escapism). Anyway, I'm out of work also right now and trying to study...(poi that is). I'm located in Michigan & interested in a gethering perhaps......-Karly
