Tuesday 21st March 2006

Woke up about 7ish this evening when Brad came round for a smoke. No circus society tonight as it's the Easter holidays already, despite the fact that it's March. We chatted, had a look at Firetoys new contact staves (look here!) and browsed the HoP vid thread (love the Fluffy/Sandy/Tim xmas vid - especially the 2 person neck rolls) for a bit. Then he went home. His missus only lets him out once a week for circus, so he hasn't told her it wasn't on this week - just so he could escape for a smoke! Poor boy spends ages moping cos he wants a girlfriend, then gets one who never lets him out of her sight. Bizarre. Ah well, you can't live other people's lives for them.

The only problem with being almost completely nocturnal, apart from the solitude thing, is that you completely lose track of what day it is. I thought today was Wednesday.

Who's comin to play in Cornwall then? In fact, Dunc, if you're in here, how about "Play - In Cornwall"? smile

Wednesday 22nd March 2006 - 4.26am

The police came around tonight. Twice. The first time was about 10.30. I was sat playin poker and there was a buzz at the front door. I looked out of my bedroom window and saw just the uniform through the condensation. My stomach shrunk to the size of a walnut and my heart beat so fast that my legs turned to jelly. I grabbed the biggest bag of weed and the bag of money and ran downstairs, shoving them into the understairs cupboard. Then I answered the door, still shaking.

The first thing the copper said was "Don't worry", but it didn't help. I invited them in, and for some reason took them into the mess that is our lounge, where my housemate and his girlfriend were toking on a spliff. Turns out one of my other housemates had been reported missing, and they wanted to go up into her room to look for a photo of her, and clues. I spoke to them for a bit, legs still wobbling, then they left.

I rolled a very much needed spliff.

About 2am the door went again.

I was slightly less worried this time, as I figured it would be about the same thing, but as I stood up to leave my room my eye was yet again drawn to the murky view from my window, and I wondered why they needed a van AND a car. Visions of spending the night in jail flooded my brain, and I started thinking about how long I'd get. This time there were two different Rozzers, but they'd come equipped with latex gloves, which they used to search through the girl's belongings. They found a photo id of her, and I gave them the phone number of one of her friends. They then rang him, despite it being 2 in the morning. Luckily, he knew where she was, and they toodled off.

Every time a car goes by I have to go to the window.

Every time one of my housemates goes to the loo I have to open my door and peer nervously out into the dark hallway, half-expecting to see a masked member of a swat team heading up the stairs towards me.

I put the heating on just now and every time the heater gurgles I stop the music I'm listening to and prick up my ears, ready to...I don't know...run maybe, or just stash every thing and prepare to try and blag it.

They say this sh*t makes you paranoid, but I don't buy it. ubblol

Don't have nightmares.

Dont panic, stay chilled. If they come, they come.
Worrying and jumping up and down will only make you feel worse and more paranoid anyway.
So stick on some music, skin up, get some tea and relax.

Friday 24th March - 4.04am

Thursday, I went to a screentest/read-thru/first rehearsal for a short film I'm doing for some third year film students. It's called Becoming, and it's a sweet little film about death, friendship and regret - usual film student fare. biggrin

Got back home about 5pm and watched some House, then the new South Park episode. Hehe. Then, about half 7, I went to sleep.

Woke up at 3.30am, and had to go on a sneaky-ninja-mission into my housemates room to nick the internet cable. Job done, I made myself some tea and a J and sat down to do the following:

Play Poker - $30 games on 888.com
Play Online Risk - Any Risk fans, PM me and I'll refer you (it's free and VERY cool!)
Check my mail - very boring
Post on HoP - Woohoo!

What an exciting life I lead!

Has anyone here listened to the music of Kate Rusby? I just downloaded some, and it's really lovely. Never been a big folk fan, but there's something incredibly evocative about it.

Hope things are good with you, and you're not having more stress about visiting police...

Hmm, the girl thing. I'm with Mojo, and have been since about September. All is good and groovy, and she will be at Fal5.

Friday evening the kids came down, and i fed them and put them to bed. Saturday we got up, had breakfast and then braved the elements to go into town and do some shopping. Izzy moaned a bit about the rain, but Rheanna had great fun jumping in puddles.

When we got home, we made flapjacks, and then the kids did a mothers day card for Tamsyn. I cooked shepherds pie, and after dinner I packed them off to bed. They took about 3 hours to settle, so once they were finally asleep I collapsed and slept myself.

Got woken up about 6am on Sunday, and did the normal getting up/breakfast thing, then played some games with the girls til lunchtime. Tamsyn came and got them after lunch, and I played a bit of poker, watched some "House", watched the most recent episode of Lost with my housemate (Season 2, Episode 16 if anyone cares) and then went to bed.

Monday 27th March

Woke up about 11ish and went into town to put some money in the bank. Came home and ordered some new sticks.

No plans for the rest of the day. Probably just sit on my ass and play cards...

Wednesday 29th March

Woke up around 10am and spent pretty much the whole day in the lounge on the computer. (Where I am right now in fact smile )

Played some cards, watched some House and Oz, wrote some bits of a story and chatted to about a zillion random hoppers on msn. I seem to have about 30 new people on my msn list now. I feel violated. ubblol

Thinking about purchasing this.

Anyone here NOT coming to Cornwall? Prepare for pointing and laughing!
