Today, in the US is October 26, 2007. Otherwise known as HoP's 9th birthday!!!!
I know I signed in on November 11, 1998 for the first time and I remember when it was a rocketship of love in Malcolm's bedroom and the storage/manufacturing facility was the back wall in his garage. Crazy, no?
Congrats on how far you've come Malcolm! What an empire you have built!
So...ummm...where's the party?

well...we all have a year to save, and common ground is in oct. so maybe we can invade common ground, skip the drink and invade HoP central.

The sound of a party seems like a great idea to me. I mean, what's a birthday without a party. however, with HOP only being 9 years old and completely underage there is to be no alcohol or sexual intentions of any kind
Like hell that's going to happen!!! Well done and congratulations Malcolm.
Don't make someone your priority if they only make you an option.

Yeah But PNut. HOP's like a very inteligent animal - I mean look at all the great things its done in such a small space of time. It must mature beyond mere human years and is a wise, ol' Hop-ster by now. So I think as much illicit substances and intentions as is required can safely and legally, be exopected from any B'Day party.
I for one think its a GREAT thing for a friendly invasion of Christuchurch to celebrate the BIG 10 - If we could arrange a CG type meet that may well Jump start what is (im sure the Kewis there wont mond me saying) a pathetically small meet up of spinners, especially considering HOP's proximity and that of CircoArt aswell.
I'll have a chat with people at the NZ Juggling Convention also. I know people on the commitee there and see if we cant get a South Island convention to coincide? Thats been talked about for the last few years. Although the NZJC is usually later in the year.
We could really make this a great event - people have a year to save. Lets get the groundswell going now.
When exactly is the Birthday?
Any thoughts from the HOP headquaters. Obviously they done wanna organise their own Birthday party......do they?
But they maybe able to help out on the ground.
I PROMISE i'll come and see you guys this year. I have tried twice, in 2 seperate years to find you in that Industrial estate and not managed it!!!

The birthday itself is actually October 26.
However, if we can get a date from Pyrolific for next years Common Ground, then we could plan the party appropriately for those travelling a long ways to get more bang for thier buck by hitting both.
I think I am going to move this to Events so we can plan it there.

Im biased but NZ is the BEST country in the world. I am also building up larger contacts there and theres talk of a Performers tour. How about a HOP-Show as part of the party.
Maybe able to get a number of people a gig to help towards travel and exp. Do a show for HOP and then maybe a tour before.afterwards. In Nz and Oz.
I'll talk to various people, promotors, agents and events this tour and see whats possible for next season.
Would encourage people out, help financially and who KNOWS what could grow out of a HOP Super-troupe!!!

It's interesting idea for that. I think you'd have to look at people's performance styles and such, do indie and group stuff to make a full show. It would be kinda like the Bellydance Superstars but with the HoP manipulation stuff.
For the party, it was mostly going to be...well..a party.
Show would be a fun bonus tho.
I know some promoters/booking agents in NZ if you want some help checking into it.
But first, things like dates are important for any of it.
